I thought it would it would be cool if people posted their personal secret for growing onions. Whether seed or set, organic or super phosphate, I'd like to hear it!
I don't have much to share (hence the reason for starting the thread), but last year I discovered the importance of putting your onion seedlings outside to harden off before transplant. They were yellow and flopped over, I didn't think putting them outside would be smart, but a wise elderly Irish woman told me otherwise and they came back pretty quick once I did.
