a slight nit pick if there ever was one.
private sector bureaucracy
not familiar with that specific but sometimes "lowering" the costs simply means refusing to pay the costs.
Do you believe that health insurance companies should be a part of the equation?
Do you believe that health insurance companies should be a part of the equation?
yes. insurance was made for catastrophes no?
In theory I suppose.
I don't see them as necessary at all though. What value do they bring to the table? They literally take everyone's money, and then pay the healthcare providers for services...all while skimming profit. They exist solely to skim profit.
Why give some corporation 25%+ of the healthcare dollars to advertise with and pay obscene bonuses with? It is a FACT that better results can be achieved for a fraction of the cost. I just don't understand the mentality in this country with this issue.
....is the bond just a profit scheme?
are they doing it for profit?
of course
Its naive to say that the Democratic party and the Republican party are about the same. All you need to do is look at what they are doing. Healthcare? You say the Republican healthcare plan is about the same as the ACA? Really? If so, then naive.Maybe the word "blame" is not accurate. I'm more disappointed in them because they frame themselves as being for the common man. Representing the interests of the middle class. I really don't think they are much better than their Republican counterparts on a lot of issues though. If you start looking at the donor lists you begin to realize that it's just rhetoric. Pretty tough to thread the needle between doing what's best for the people when you're taking large sums of donations from corporations whos interests run counter to the people. That's what I think you and others here fail to acknowledge at times.
Dude, you are complacent because two or three Republicans might vote against their party's healthcare plan? So if they don't pass it you think the people who wrote that bill are just going away? NaiveThat's a fair point, but I don't see how this bill sees the light of day. I may be wrong, but the only thing more influential than big money donations is the thought of losing their job. With a 17% approval rating on the AHCA, they must know that a yes vote will likely mean their job. In addition, I'd love to see Bernie trot out a single payer plan right now just to compare and contrast the two options side by side. That would really highlight the holes in the AHCA, and benefits and cost savings of medicare-for-all.
Bernie has trotted out a universal health care access plan. I don't know who helped him, because not one Senator has cosponsored. Why do you think that is? Please spare me conspiracy. All you need to know is that Sanders had plenty of support in 2014 when his bill to repeal Citizens United was stopped by Republicans. Every Democratic Caucus Senator supported his bill. They lost 12 seats in the Senate just weeks later. Then Sanders ran against "establishment Democrats taking donations". Think about it for a second. They supported Sanders, believed in his initiative. The Sanders called them corrupt and worse. Sanders is a bitch and anybody who works with him gets the shaft.
Question their willingness to pass legislation. It's in the Congressional record. Democrats have been fighting for universal healthcare access for decades. A few times they have attempted to pass through Congress Universal Healthcare Coverage legislation. Every time, Republicans have stopped them. You blame Democrats? Ok, one or two, maybe five or six represent conservative districts and they may side with Republicans on this. Blame them. Or blame the scores of avid right wing republicans who are dead set against expanding access to healthcare coverage.I don't know that I've ever framed it quite like "Corporate Democrats don't support healthy people". What I question is their willingness to pass legislation that would cost the health insurance industry money. That lobby alone spends 10's of millions of dollars every year ensuring that the gravy train keeps running. I hope I'm wrong, but I think most of them place their loyalty squarely at the feet of their donors. I hope this changes. Maybe enough public pressure will bring that to bare...which is a big part of why I want to see an up or down vote on a single payer system. Let's see who's who.
I don't understand why you bernouts are focused on Democrats when it's Republicans who've been fucking this system up.
Are you fucking kidding me? Ignoramus. Look up the bill. Wow, you are pretty blythe about spewing false information. There are 113 Democratic cosponsors to that bill. You say they support it, yet they don't put their name on any bills that would enact it
HR 676 - why are there Democratic congressmen who have not signed on to cosponsor Conyers bill if they all support enacting universal healthcare?

then it's a profit scheme.
actuaries can easily adjust to make it a non-profit scheme.
now go google actuaries.
Maybe. As it is, he seems to me too dumb to be a bot.Is pada a bot?
