Actually i'm kind of disappointed in it. Very little heat! I am trying to gear up for winter and my leds don't cut it.May try it later I have a 2x315 ballast.
If you need to more light to heat your space, surely you'll need to put a heater in there for lights out.Actually i'm kind of disappointed in it. Very little heat! I am trying to gear up for winter and my leds don't cut it.
I'm thinking about getting a 600 de hps to run in winter mainly for the heat.
Gonna put more insulation in and I usually use a heat mat for bottom heat, works good.If you need to more light to heat your space, surely you'll need to put a heater in there for lights out.
Bad news they are discontinueing that fixture. They say its because they are getting a 15% returns because it will not fire out of the box. As far as i know there are no issues with the working units. Like mine fingers crossed lol. I am kind of suprised ive red that gavitas were the same way at first but they fixed the issues. My boy justin at growers choice tells me that they are nearing compleation on a 1000w dimable ballast that will fire the 630 de cmh. Btw the de cmh does what a 1000se will but not a 1000de. However... The 630de is fine in a tent but i wouldnt dare run a 1000de in a tentIam interested in the Growers Choice 630w double endex cmh fixture...big time. Virtually very little to nothing on it except a couple vids and very little on the forums. I want to pair these up side by side with my Gavitas I have now..or if they are all that in quality AND yield..replace the Gavitas all together.
Any problems with the bulbs? I have a 315 watt de, no problems so far.Bad news they are discontinueing that fixture. That sucks. So the fixture itself is not firing the bulb but they ars making a remote 1000 watt de ballast that will fire the 630 de if you dim it down? Do you know if it changes the spectrum like a 1000w hps de will dialed down? So many frikin choices in lighting the last few years. Got my head hurting. Back in the day..all we had was mogul socket mh and hps. And no 600 watters. And t12's for floros. So simple back then.Bad news they are discontinueing that fixture. But it still grows buds just fine....The electronic ballast may run the bulbs but if it isnt low frequency square wave your not going to come anywhare close to the efficiency that the 630 lamps were designed for.
Yes it does. Used to run one on a galaxyBut it still grows buds just fine....
You didnt post a proper link there ass hat. When googled the first thing that poped up was a galaxy ballast being sold with an offbrand 630 lamp. Yes i did see a 1000w lfsw ballast when i kept looking but i already know there are other lfsw 620 ballasts on the market also. Posted a few pages back that my store is coming out with one similar to the growers chouce 630 with an adjustable reflecter.try actually reading the specs.
Ballast: EB-GCMH630DS

- Close to sunlight, energy saving >25%
- Match well with Philips CMH/CDM bulbs
- Your lamp will work that long: 5 years
- Ignition distance: up to 20m
- Power factor (PF): >0.99
- Efficiency: >91%
- Total harmonic distortion (THD): <6%
- With LED display with IR remote control with 0-10V dimmer
One of many on the market now
And i heard way shorter bulb life. Hell...one of the top selling points for me on double ended...whether hps or cmh...is bulb life. Up to a year or more. I have had my Gavitas going on 2 1\2 to 3 years now. Ive done 2 bulb changeouts. About to do my third this September. On my old school mogul sockets...every 6 to 8 months. And I used Hortis Ushios and Sunmasters every changeout. My footcandle meter doesnt lie. Double ended bulbs last WAY longer. The electronic ballast may run the bulbs but if it isnt low frequency square wave your not going to come anywhare close to the efficiency that the 630 lamps were designed for.
