changed to 5 gallon buckets, and switched to fox farm nutes. getting a bigger air pump and better lights.

lights:
100w hps, 2 2' T5's, 2 6500k fluorescent U shaped lights.

tossed my runt and got 5 going pretty strong.

I got a mutant plant, its leaves have up to 9 pedals. and has some wierd discoloring... IDK

Hopefully will be upgrading to a 400w hps soon so i can just use the hps lights.

Hey man very nice system, so u basically ended up building ur own system? 5 gallon buckets, air stones? Is there anyway to do this from the start or do u need the system i wanna get started

You can do it yourself. Gr33n turned me on to the buckets and it would have been much cheaper had I done that in the beginning.

There is the "air" bubbling in the water to prevent root rot, and there are the feeding tubes, which is nutrient enriched water, being fed to each root base, via a wter pump submerged in the water.
You can get a $9 bucket and lid at Walmart, get two 12 inch airstones, (about $8.00) and a DUAL air pump, (about $12 to $15) and you cut three holes in the top of each lid. (or that is what I did) I bought the grow cups, (6 are about $3.00) and Hydroton rock and rockwool cubes from Stealth Hydro on the internet, and you can easily duplicate the system.

ros told me my lights i ordered in stead will be detected by unsuspecting flying helicopters with radar, and basically trashed my whole build a custom resiviour. i've got that sick sick pit in my stomach feeling like i just commited a crime + now i may be in trouble with my lights

hey guys i got a MH Lite with a conversion bubl for sp for flowering, i made my own resiviour with a lid , put 3 pods inside kinda spaced out evenly and i kinda popped em through the plastic cutting the circle just a little small so its tight, im running all my own air lines now and setting up my water pump do u run the air lines from the pump into the water, and then individually to each pod ?

i got sphagetti air tuben that first into the tubing off of the air pump, and..... as far as in a closet will i have to much heat in there? will i need a grow tent?

It doesn't seem like you have done much research. I have never grown before, hence the name of this thread, but before I started I read everything and anything I could find on the subject, for like a month before I started. Your questions are vague and unclear, so I think you should surf around and get as much info as you can before starting your grow. Best of luck to you.

yeah agree, I spent two and half months just reading and reading and surfing and surfing before I started. Of course, I got in to this and changed my mind about the method I was going to use, stealthhydro system and now buckets, but made sure I studied about nutes, temp, water, everything...even soil...keep up the studying, its like a profession...learn something new daily!
