Kratos having bit of an issue. All of our clones and seeds have early flowered and havent reached quite the size I was hoping for. Due to my investments I need to hit at least half a lb per 99 holes. Would you suggest purchasing some 12 inch clones to pop outside to flip if so what would be approximate yield just ounce or two? Spent most of this summer prepping the land and still not ready neglected plants they were in shade cloth area for week or two and i guess that triggered
Did you start them outdoors or did they go straight from 18/6 to outdoors? If they went from 18 hours of light to what it is outside now that alone could trigger flower in some cases, on top of that the days are getting shorter around this time of year so it's only natural that they started flowering. Fortunately you didn't have this happen to you before the summer solstice, otherwise they'd have revegged on you and you would have been one unhappy camper.
When did you put them out? Is this your first outdoor? I'd start my girls in seeds outdoors, made a custom miniature hoop house to store them in until they had a good 6 nodes or so. After they got topped I transplanted into their final containers. Starting the seeds in March and having them in their final containers by April I was yielding 1lb per 10-15g pot easy, my Blue Dreams gave me 1.75 in 30g pots. Looking back now, the nugs weren't as dense as they should have been and my yields actually should have been better if I had more experience.
Your other posts say that you're in 4x4x2 planters and you have 1.5ft plants waiting to be transplanted if I'm not mistaken? It's always hard to recommend an amount of plants per container/space without being familiar with the way the strain grows. Sometimes 1 plant won't be able to make use of all the space/soil and 2-4 would have maximized yield, other times 2-4 plants makes things way too crowded resulting in weaker growth and increased mold/mildew risks. I had indicas that I trained to be no taller than 3 feet, but were around 3ft wide in diameter. I also had Blue Dream strains that grew to be well over 8 ft tall and nearly 4ft in diameter. Without knowing the strains personally, all I can recommend is that you do your research on the lineage of the parents and guesstimate plant count per container. It is nearly impossible to get maximum yield from a strain you don't know about, it can happen on a fluke for sure, but without knowing how your strains grow it's hard to optimize nutes/space/plant count/etc.
Yield from a 12 inch clone varies, again on a lot of things. I've pulled anywhere between 2-4oz per 12in clone sent into flower in 5-7g pots indoors.
If it were me in your shoes, I'd grab as many blue dream/sativa hybrid clones as I possibly could and throw them into 7-10g pots. The reason being Blue Dream and other strains like it can get to 2.5-3 times the size in flower easy if all is done right. They'll also be much more likely to fill pots of that size than an indica dominant strain.
A few years back I gave a couple of friends some Blue Dream clones and my old synthetics when I went organic. They both planted them in 5 gallon pots and I think they even used Miracle Gro as their medium. Their plants never got bigger than 3ft tall, if even that. One yielded 3oz and the other yielded 5, both first time growers and they were both outdoor grows too.
Hope this helped.
