I have to admit I like the look of the amare lights but the prices seem insaneIf you're looking for a manufactured/pre-made light/plug n grow then I'd recommend looking into the Amare SE-250 or SE-450 depending on your yield desires. If it were me, I'd go w/ the 450, that way if you have a light intensity sensitive strain you can always turn off the monos & run it @ 300w. W/ these you'll have quality components ran @ 1/2 their rated consumption for decent efficiency, a 5 yr warranty, & the option to use the enhanced spectrum or veg w/ it too. I use these & am happy.
They're actually allot less if you buy direct from the comp. About $1.65 a watt.I have to admit I like the look of the amare lights but the prices seem insane
The 400w cob is about 550$ the amare is 1000 at least lol. Also I've heard they basically use last years tech and charge this years priceThey're actually allot less if you buy direct from the comp. About $1.65 a watt.
I hear ya. It's more like 800 though & there's very lil difference from CXB's to whatever else is out there if that's what you're reffering to in tech. Especially when running 50%. No difference really aside from cost. If it's the absolute most efficient tech you're looking for, good luck keeping up. Seams like every 3-6 months it's changing. Not to mention no matter what cobs are used the system efficiency levels are about same in most decent pre-builds from comp. because they are trying to provide the most light output from a single fixture whilest still trying to beat HPS efficiency within proper margin. Most are shooting for 50% making the type of cob null n void basically. The only time the differences are seen are when one is going DIY & can run them @ the currents in which allow a vero or whatever to be more efficient then a Cree @ the same drive. The 400w cob is about 550$ the amare is 1000 at least lol. Well I am in the similar position as you mate and I want the best so I don't get phased by average results from a average LED , my research has lead me to the Budmaster GOD 4 it's not 1mx1m but 80cmx80cm but has more than enough balls to cover it I've been told by icemud check his journal out,it also has 300%PAR output than a average 600HPS im sold on the osram SSL LEDs but shit man they're expensive £815 , my second choice is timber LED but they're in USA and the cost almost equals itself time i pay transport, and the other 1 I've found is California lightworks who also run Osram and have good results but again in the USA, when will someone Spot a gap in the market and open a LED kit outlet to give Budmaster and others competition here in uk there's enough clever bastard's on here who can design better than Budmaster lolI'm happy for what it is. It replaced the hot noisy hps and worked. However I know there is better out there. Money isn't a massive issue, I just want the best light possible for 1x1m and I'm trying to find out what that is
Timber is cool. If u can make a frame out of wood and buy some heatsinks an cob u can get a kit is what I am sayingThe light in question...
Hay what u no Mr. , Tight home report or homegrown report Mr tight YouTube channel you need to go to him an email him he's got Cobb lights that he's been buying that use a hundred and twenty watts of electricity have 3070cxb for Cobb light with driver in it but its not for a4 by four or a3 by 3 I'm assuming it's by for a two and a half by 2 and a half but email Mr tight or go to his web page on YouTube and your see his Cobb late and want to his videosFor what reason? Sorry if this sounds stupid I'm still new to this. And that reassures me as there's nothing wrong with a little overkill if the option is there to dial it down. Thanks bro
Where can I get the amare solar storm 450 for 800? It's nearly 1200 on their siteI hear ya. But you can't go wrong w/ a Timber kit either from what I hear. It's a nice Do it themselves light. Obviously much cheaper to produce to which saves you $.
20% Import tax mate. Also has anyone from the U.K. Ordered this? He's already said it will be 135$ shipping but duty/import will be extra. Anyone done this to give me an idea how much it cost?
The Solar Eclipse 450. Just e-mail Victor (owner) direct.Where can I get the amare solar storm 450 for 800? It's nearly 1200 on their site
I reckon the timber will outperform/equal that for less moneyThe Solar Eclipse 450. Just e-mail Victor (owner) direct.

I like the idea of the monos too. But surely I could just throw my viparspectra in for the same effect?Maybe.
I like the extra warranty & monos myself.
Being able to veg smaller plants w/ a veg spectrum is a big plus to.
Ahh, I don't know about that. Sure, you could add some color w/ it but you won't get the even blend in spectral uniformity.I like the idea of the monos too. But surely I could just throw my viparspectra in for the same effect?
3.5 amrAhh, I don't know about that. Sure, you could add some color w/ it but you won't get the even blend in spectral uniformity.
Plus the Vipers are mostly blue if I remember correctly? Like a wicked lot too. Not a happy flower enhancement IMO but who knows, maybe w/ some 27k cobs.
Something to also consider would be the inefficiency of the Viper diodes in comparison to top-bin Xp-G2 & 3 Cree diodes in the Amare's.
But yeah, I guess you could.
I have a 535w Hydroponics Hut burple/pink light & it won't blend w/ anything else w/ it's 90• lenses, tight beam angle. Great veg light though.
The 95cri full spectrum is sweet.
Aren't you in a 3'x3' or something? Might be tough to add the Viper to anything In that space.
