Just lost 3,000$ worth of clones

My soil isn't soil it's dirt ( no microorganism ect) I'm a first time growing out in socal with a friend who claims to have done this many times but like I said his soil is dirt and he doesn't ph his solution first feed is 2 scoops of amonSulfate 1scoop urea a shot of b1 a shot of fish Emulsion in a 5 gal bucket to feed 2 plants in 100 gal containers 2nd feeding is a shot of foxfarm grow 1scoop of Romeo 1scoop miracle grow lawn and a shit if b1... out if curiouslity I ph the dirt ph before ne feeding and is super alkaline I ph the water it's 7.0-8.0 and I ph the solution which come to about 5.0-6.5 .... my question is WTF is giving it a hydroponic setting ?? And also how can I keep my remaining clones alive ?

Powdered nutes are VERY concentrated. For clones, you shouldn't be giving them more than a few hundred ppm. You may have given them a few thousand.

That's how.

ppm/ec meters are cheap. So are ph pens. Use them, especially if you are using powdered nutes.

Clones dont need much. Keep them humid and under something like a cfl. They should take off after a fortnight.

I've killed plenty of clones myself. But that's because I'm still a noob. And I don't quite have my shit together. Still trying to clone though.

I would like to but they guy I'm learning from doesn't ph ... his soil is dirt not even soil nothing lives in it and he just tells me
To add all the previously mentioned to a 5 gal bucket so that's what I've been doin and only like 13 are still up not looking good but up I got 2 clones that stunted that never grew they went straight to flower and then I got 14 big boys that haven't switched to flowering ... the guy I'm learning from is a pathelogical liar and been shipping me trash for the pass 4 years so I decided to come out and help and now it looks like I shoulda stayed on the east coast and used my aerogarden machine wouldn't be the same yield but shit the quality would have drove the price up rather then coming to LA to work a field and watch my money drain smh I just wanna know should I say fuck this guys remedy and oh my food ? Also I phd his recipe and the ph is 5.7 which I know for hydros is good but for soil it should be higher but again he's done this before so he says but if he has done it before wouldn't you want to grow the best shot rather then grow bs in order to get money to buy better shit ? That's reverse hustling

I'm so confused by this whole post. You're in an outdoor section of the forums. I don't see why you don't just start clones in a basic rapid rooter starter plug or they make those tubs with aerated water or whatever. Then once roots develop, drop them in a good organic mix (FFOF, FFHF, PROMIX, roots, make your own if you want) just water them. Once they get bigger, start SIMPLE. Use fish emulsion or any mild fertilizer mix. Once they get big then you can push a little with more but you shouldn't really even need to as you started with good soil mix from the get go. During flowering use a bloom fertilizer. I'd recommend staying close to organics because it's less prone to killing them with over fertilizing.
If I have learned anything, you feed the soil (start with a good mix and amend as necessary) and you won't need all this crazy shit you keep talking about with feeding and such. It isn't a high tech science experiment. It's a plant.

I think his "expert" friend may have misled him in more ways than one. Were the clones purchased by you from said "expert"? You need to spend a lot of time reading on this site before your next attempt. It will save you a lot of money. Be patient, do your research, buy a clone or two and veg them to make more clones. It's easy and saves so much! I would suggest starting with the organic section. It will teach you a lot about how plants absorb nutrients. Noobie problems are usually overfeeding and overwatering. Invest in a good soil mix like Happy Frog. Add some perlite for extra drainage....and get rid of your partner. He isn't an asset...:peace:

I think he spent 3k on a hooker and $20 on clones but got so fucked up that night he assumes all his money went to clones.
Ps I'll sell you 5 more clones for 2k
