I seriously doubt Michigan would have voted for Bernie. Regardless of what any polls or MSM want you to believe, Michigan is really conservative with the exception of a few cities like Detroit, Flint and Muskegon. I believe the upper peninsula is somewhat liberal though, about 50/50 liberal/conservative.
Pretty much the whole west side of the state (anywhere west of Flint) are people from Dutch immigrants, super conservative and religious.
So much religious conservative nonsense that Grand Rapids, the second largest city in Michigan (west side of the state) has a nudity ban on strip clubs in the city, they are just basically bikini bars. No titty city. The Devos's and Van Andel's have huge influence on politics in Michigan. The GOP headquarters building is also in Grand Rapids. I'm willing to bet that pretty much 2/3 of Michigan is easily conservative.
