Sorry, but it's not entirely economically driven. There is a bare racist streak in our criminal justice system that has nothing to do with economics. A poor black man is MUCH more likely to be incarcerated than a poor white man. It goes way deeper than just simple economics.

I just said economics plays a huge part in it.... in all racism. The private for profit corps that own the prisions are in it to make as much as they can. They have a huge lobby in DC to ensure laws are made to garuntee profits. And guess who the easiest target...market?
Like everywhere else on the planet it is the minorties....the poor minorities particularly.

Forums such as these are for opinions. I dont have to prove anything to anybody. Neither does anybody else.
And i learned a long time ago that its near impossible to change anybodys opinion about anything. All a person can hope to do is talk sense and hope that others will take away something that germinates a little... and that this something that begins to grow gets a dose of nutes from somebody else who voices a similar opinion. And so on. Until that person is inspired enough to go do their own research or fact checking.
It takes many people, a few events and a lot of time to change any one opinion...
And if the person in question cant be bothered to look into another persons opinion...well... fuck em. Let the ignorant be ignorant, which really isnt anything more than laziness.
