FIRST TIMER: how do they look for day 35 flower

So as the title states this is going to be my first harvest. Currently on day 35 simce flipping to 12/12. I have one Quicksand Kush that I was unable to find any info on genetics . But seems to be indica dominant since its buds are growing much faster and structure of the plant didn't stretch much first few weeks of flower. About 25% ofpistols. Have turned Amber already. She's getting very sticky and stinky! 2nd plant is an Og Ghost Train Haze! Very excited about this one. Stretched quite a bit and know that this is a sativa dom which takes anywhere between 12-14 weeks to flower. Weird thing is....after researching the OG Ghost TH , supposedly its suppose to stretch nearly double to triple its height before the flip. But to be honest.....it only stretched about 6 inches or so.....and I assume its done stretching being day 35. Also...there use to be 2 other plants in the tent that sadly were tossed due to russet mites. I originally vegged these in a scrog net. I flipped the lights and just kept tucking for the next couple weeks. That's when I noticed russet mites on 2 of the plants and had to cut the scrog screen down to be able to pull the infected plants. Maybe I didn't notice as much stretch since I was tucking the branches during the first couple weeks of flower?

I have been using:
Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil with 20% extra perlite and about 10% extra worm castings.

7 gallon pots

General Organics:
Bio bud @ 2ml per gal
Bio thrive bloom @ 4ml per gal.
Bio marine @ 3ml per gal

On the next watering I use botanicare calmag plus @ 3ml per gal. And botanicare sweet raw @ 3ml per gal

On the third watering i use just straight water ph to 6.0-6.5.

Then repeat the feeding process.

If anyone has any advice or tips or tricks that could help my harvest outcome it would be greatly appreciated . First 3 pics are of the quicksand kush. 2md set of pics is the OG GTH.

I'm amazed at how stacked that Quicksand is at 35 days! ive never tried anything less than 55 days so im used to week 3-4 looking more like your GTH. Overall your girls look very good an very healthy. Color in the leaves is good but they are a little saggy. idk if you took pics at night or if its a little heavy on watering. I'm nitpicking because it really looks great!

Yeah i noticed how the tips were getting a tad burnt. I'm goimg to start slowly decreasing nutes over next couple weeks then start flushing quicksand kush. I'll continue to use less nutes on theHTH. Till its ready to start flushing

So i started spraying neem oil one week and azamax the next week on my plants in veg and should hopefully keep them from getting infested . Need to research more about what to use in flowering.

Also i forgot to add these are in a 4x4x8 tent. Using 400 watt hps and 450 watt viparspectra. Read something a out mixing led and hps and figured I'd give it a shot. Temps are stable at 80 degree during lights on and 74 degrees during lights off. RH 35-45%

That's probably one of the biggest factors ive learned is each grow in unique. No grow will ever be 100% identical. So take what you can learn from those more experienced , and combine that with personal experience. Interesting I just learned that the more light a plant cam recieve , the more nutrients it technically can sustain. My outdoor sunset sherbet is freaking imaculant. I've been heavy feeding and zero signs of nite burn still. Excited to see how she turns out. Buds are just getting some thickness to them and even quite a bit of thc already. I did absolutely zero topping with this cut. All done with lst by pulling the branches outward and letting the middle fill In before pulling those branches back. Stuck her outside June 12th at 12 inches tall. Currently at 4 ft tall and almost 6 ft wide lol

I'd lower Temps if possible run 72-75. And bump up humidity. At least 60%

Ive got a cool mist humidifier that can get it up to about 55% RH , but kept reading about making sure to keep below 50% during last month of flower to prevent mold but ive got pretty damn good circulation in the tent. 4inch inline exhaust rated at 165cfm. 4 inch inline intake rated at 135cfm. Wanted a stronger fan running exhaust to promote a slight amount of negative pressure which seems to help temps stay down. That and I originally tried a 6inch fan for exhaust with 4 inch intake but the negative pressure was waaaaay to much and started ripping at the seems of the tent. Also have 4 clip on fans at each corner of the tent. Temps have been really difficult to keep under 80 degrees. We have had an abnormally warm summer here in Portland, OR. Im only running a 400 watt hps and 450w viparspectra. I could try turning off the led for the next couple weeks till temps come down but I fear losing out on potential yield. But, its not going to do much good having extra light if temps get so high they cause nute lockout. It really only gets to 82 -83 degrees during the last couple hours of lights on cycle. Then its drops to 72-75 degrees during lights out. Any tips on how to help bring temps down? Have you ever heard of a super spreader? Guy at the hydro store sold me on it. it was 15 bucks so I said fuck it might as well try it. To my amazement it LEGIT dropped my temps down from 86-87 degrees to 80 degrees consistently. it does create a small amount of shadow underneath the bulb, but I can drop it down to about 12 inches with feeling excess warmth on the back of my hand. Suppose to distribute the light evenly avoiding hot spots.

Also any idea on how long the quicksand kush is from finishing? I have a jewlers loupe that goes up x60. But since I've never had anything to compare to its hard to know how opaque or milky the crystals should be

It sounds like you're doing the work. The only other thing I'd recommend is a stand alone ac unit, soemthing you can vent out of the tent. But you're probably fine this time. I'm originally from Texas and it's typically 75%+ humidity and obviously way hotter! I wouldn't kill the led. Most likely it doesn't give off enough heat to make a difference. And the best way to prevent bud rot or mold is circulation. So if you've got oscillating fans you're probably getting good movement in there.

If the trichs on the QS are really starting to turn amber then I would start a weeks flush now and then cut em. As far as flushes go I rely on the length of time in bloom, some people always do 2 week flushes, but for me if it's fast flowering 50days or less I usually do one week. If it's 10-12weeks
(70+ days) then I typically do a 2 week flush. With your girls I would skip a feeding(or very light feeding) with GTH and then start flushing on the QS screw milky or cloudy, you want to see some amber coming in.

Hes in flower, do not raise humidity above 50 or you will get mold, but if you can lower the temps to a max of 75 during lights on that would be ideal for big dense buds.

Thanks man I genuinely appreciate that. I've tried to keep my self from getting over confident with this because the last time I started to feel all high and mighty and thinking to myself " shit I got this....its so much easier than I thought".....than i flipped the lights to 12/12 . 2 weeks later russet mites tool half the girls in my tent ( which im still pretty upset about and beat myself up over it daily) . One was a Gorilla Glue #4 cut. The other, a Grape Ape cut ;(. I was able to clone the gorilla glue and keep one aroumd to make clones for future grows. But missed out on getting a Grape ape clone to root unfortunately . Luckily theres effing unlimited number of strains to try. Some are being invented almost on a daily basis I bet. Somewhere I'm the world at least. I've learned to have much more respect for the more experienced growers than I had before I started this . They truly do become your baby's. Lol. They'll always complain and tell you if somethings wrong lol
