Is it ok to cut shade leaves off to let plant flower better?

I was very surprised how much better autos have gotten.
I'm glad I missed the "old days". I discovered auto's last December, ordered seeds, then found all the horror stories. To say I was concerned would be an understatement.
My only issue with auto's is that I can't seem to grow small ones anymore. :bigjoint:

I have had issues with some particular lesser known breeders beans though. Cool names doesn't mean good genetics, for sure. lol

If you go back far enough I have post here where I hated autos. I would get freebies and try them and now some are pretty damn good.

The right breeder makes a difference. Mephisto Genetics has the best autos I've tried so far. Dinafem is a close second.

Im not arguing with you soil idiots anymore. So much finger pointing and useless babble, you guys have no helpful input.
Ok.

I mean no offense. First flushing does nothing. Nutrient company schedules have you over feed then flush to sell more product. You can't flush immobile nutrients. The immobile just move to new growth.

High P and K bloom boosters yellow plants out.

Feed them optimum feeds and no flush needed. The smoothness come from the cure and dry.

Most rush it. I like it to take 5-7 days to dry and then a minimum 2 weeks daily burping in jars. Then a week or two of burping every 3 days. Then another week or two in jars at least.

It takes time for chlorophyll to break down.

Time of chop influences the process. Chop right before lights on or sun up. The terpenes and smell will be highest and starches in the root zone.

Get mad if you want. I mean try something before you knock it. I dropped cannabis specific and boosters all together.

Keep it green and happy and it will reward you. Cannabis puts on up to 25% of its weight in the last two weeks.

You've bought into overfeeding and then flushing.

Reduce the feed just to what the plant needs and water until 20% run off and use plain every few waterings.

Not to knock what you are doing. Its good work. Just saying you can up your yield and quality with a few tips.

If I seem like an ass my bad. I have documented a few of my mistakes here.

Your first video the yellow leaves were from a combo root bound and defeincy.

The ones in 5 gallon buckets needed put in 30 gallon or bigger pots or holes.

Put them in the ground. The sun is hard on roots in a bucket. That also contributes to yellowing.

Give a try and watch how much your yield reaches.

Quality also.

Those were under a cheap ass t5. Pots 15 inch wide.
Just scale up.

Feel free to critique me. I will listen to legitmit advice.

No offence was ever meant.
I have no energy to argue over flushing. All I have to say is not everyone grows organically in soil... If you watch my videos you will know exactly why that plant is yellow. I was hitting that plant with more nutes than my plants in my 8x8 beds so I would know if I was feeding them too much. Im about to make some more videos on indoor trimming and flushing techniques.

Alright then.

Grow how you want. I not putting it down..

You agree I wouldn't flush organic soil.

So here's the thing. I'm not a typical soil guy. I grow organic because its practical and free for me as I live on a farm.

I agree to the science that organic and synthetic are the same chemical after broken down.

So why is ok not to flush organic but synthetic has to be flushed?

It's all good. More than one way to skin a cat.

Just be open minded. I've tried several different grow methods. I even grew dwc. I didn't care for the work that came with it. I personally didn't like hydro because one mistake can kill them.

@whitebb2727 you should try 00 seeds Northern lights auto. I got it as a freebie last winter when i purchased a bunch of og kush autos. It out grew every other auto i have done. Was almost 6 feet tall all said and stretched. Dense stinky nugs. Shit didn't last long in my jars lol.

Coco grower here, watered/fed daily. I don't flush.

I also don't defoliate, but I have been known to remove some leaves here and there.

It comes down to salts. Synthetic ferts are full of salts and also soil ions hold onto nutrients much more than rockwool. Things like neem and alfalfa meal dont have high levels of salts and arent salt based. I know its easy to say just feed the plant EXACTLY what it needs! Who the fuck knows exactly how much the plants needs? Every plant is different and you dont even know what its really eating. Does it have enough micro biology to readily eat all the nutrients? Is weed the same as its synthetic counterpart, spice or whatever you want to call it?

It comes with time. Different defeincies look different.

Don't force feed them by a schedule. Watch the plant and watch what it needs.

I know my soil has enough micros. I have a compost pile and worm bin that get varied inputs to cover all nutrient needs.

This is the epitome of a forum debate. I'm just sitting here with my popcorn watching the poop fly around.

My side, I only take the bullshit branches off down below. Larf is less than appreciated in my opinion.

I agree with trimming if there is truly a need for it.
