Yeah,I never have grown it but the times when I smoked it i noticed it didn't have the bud structure like an affie or even NL I always thought it tended to have slightly elongated buds compared to those strains.
Yeah spot on bro, the stuff we had was more elongated as well, you could always tell it and the 'skunks' apart!!

@ruby fruit it is the old TH seeds version too! Fingers crossed I can get them to germ, they're friggen old and have been in my bedside drawer all this time lol

What was the criteria for being called "Skunk" in your area ? Round here if the bud had a lot of red hairs it was "Skunk" lol

Ours was skunk if it was pale green, had bright orange hairs and you could smell it coming down the street. I don't recall anyone really having 'road kill' until I grew some out. A mate and I grew some out and he told me I'll know when it's ready because it goes from being a sweetish sour rotten fruit to straight up rotting animal. Sure as shit, I let it go and one week it smelt really nice, the next week it stunk out the entire neighbourhood haha

In the mid 90s round where I was people grew variations of NL, white rhino and AK for indoor. Only time we got true skunks was when outdoor crops on the coast came in and someone drove them up the hill
Interesting! We had a lot of NL but mostly skunk. For a while there we had some incredible Durban and Mango too, that shit was wild. Our main outdoor strains were shiva and skunks

Durban was around canberra for a while in the 90s too now that you mention it. I think I know the mango you're talking about - one of my mates who's never even smoked wants to do an outdoor run one of these days bt only if it's the fruity mango we used to get back then
