Not one person can state why a manufacturer recommends to flush, when that manufacturer makes nothing financially off the flush.

First off, a few days of water only feeding is not a flush. You've shown that you don't understand this with your statement about a week and a half gallon of water.... a true 'flush' is defined by running several times (usually x3) the volume of the container worth of water through the medium. So unless you grew the entire plant in a red solo cup what you are doing is feeding water only for a week or so. And that's fine! I usually fed water only the last few days in soil as well because there is usually enough in the soil to get it to the finish line and still be healthy. .. but that's not flushing.

manufacturers recommend flushing since they also recommend running their nutes at a higher level then needed.i run my ppm at 650.most manufacturers want you to run at 1400ppm.

That is another thing.....

House and Garden puts together their feeding schedule, calling for so many milliliters per gallon. They don’t offer any guidance on PPM, so mixing up per their recommendation gets you up 1500ppm pretty fast. This latest grow, I’m dropping my nutrients by half to keep myself below 1100ppm.

Just wondering why H&G doesn’t provide a recommended ppm.

One more time....I’m using H&G nutrients, they call to flush for 3-5 days. They don’t sell anything for flushing.

Why do they recommend to flush their product with clean water? Anyone? Hello? Help?

Why did following h&g chart burn the shit outta your plants? In your email ask why they have you overfeeding so much. Pouring 2x the amount of water into your pots doesn't remove anything from your plants. You ever notice when leaves fall off trees people use them in compost piles? Even yellow and dead they still have mineral value. The white ash flushers seem to adore so much is all mineral residue, thats why wood ash can be added back to soil as fertilizer or to raise ph in acidic soil. You can soak ashes of hardwoods and make your own potassium fertilizer, it's called "potash".If it be grown, cut, dried, burned, and still have mineral content but you think it can be washed out because H&G said so? H&G makes drip clean a flushing agent with a 0-.18-.6 NPK

Burn the shit out of? Yeah, I think they burned the plants, and I’m learning from it. But the plants weren’t burnt to shit. Meantime, i smoke myself retarded from it.

Because different meters read ppm different some at .5 others at .7 Water quality varies also. If you want to measure the strength of nute solution go by EC it's measured the same on all meters.
