Actually they weren't illegal. Semi Auto is defined as 1 trigger pull 1 round is fired. He was using something called bump firing which uses the recoil of the fun to reset the trigger. He legally modified his gun by changing the stock to one that helps this phenomenon occur.

I'm not anti gun but I don't want misinformation out there either.
If you don't like misinformation then why do you blame your inability to get work on Mexicans?

Blame yourself, racial segregationist.

It seems absurd to an Englishman that there could now be a semantic argument regarding the niceties of clip/magazine full auto/ bump stock or 3 shooter, especially considering nearly 60 were murdered and over 500 wounded, surely the debate should focus on "wtf needs military weapons for recreation" how many innocents need to perish for your "freedoms"?

Second Amendment Foundation founder Alan M. Gottlieb was rejoicing Friday after a federal appeals court ruled the Constitution does not give authority to officials in the District of Columbia to decide whether a gun owner has a “good” reason to obtain a concealed-carry permit.

What can be done by Congress to prevent firearms homicides?

Leah Libresco postulates only narrowly tailored interventions may help.

"the case for the policies I’d lobbied for crumbled"

I target shoot and hunt. I have firearms for defense.

I think everyone that owns firearms should have to have firearms training and also have a "license" similar to a concealed carry permit. Training required in safety/handling/operation/storage of arms and ammo. This also needs to include a photo, fingerprints, and background investigation. I have these things and support them.

Beyond that and respecting 2A I'm at a loss. Evil madmen are gonna murder people with firearms.

I would think so honestly. I'm also not advocating for her to pull out her gun once the perp has a gun pointed at her. (Likely odds she will be a murder victim at this point). As a side note a gun is used in less than 20% of rapes.
Oh well then if it's only used in 20% of all rapes then I guess that's would be OK.

Between 1998 to 2014, 18 million women were sexually assaulted. 3.6 million women at the point of a gun. And you trivialize it as a side note, "less than 20%". That's a staggering number of women who were terrorized and raped at the point of a gun.

Just think about this for a second. I know, thinking is hard for you, but just think about this for a second.

The conservative commentators, e.g. Tucker Carlson have promoted the straw man argument that these are illegal weapons therefore this has nothing to do with the 2A, however, they were modified from insane killing power (legal) to full auto insane killing power, by legally purchasing bump stocks and some diy
