This isn't true? I thought the military did pay the NFL...Sorry your feelings were hurt by my pointing out the meme you posted was fake news. Unfortunately, I am going to point out in this post that the fake news in the meme you posted did not come from American Journalism. At least not from the main news outlets. The fake news came from Facebook, again, not from any major news outlet.
I usually enjoy your posts but I don't understand why you cited me in your defense. I don't see the connection at all.
The meme was fake news. This isn't true? I thought the military did pay the NFL...

This says the claim that military is staging and paying for patriotic displays is fake news

The stat about NFL fans disapproving of players kneeling in protest (of cop brutality on black people) is discussed here

I don't see a connection other than somebody is making hay out of fake news/propaganda.
Or think. The meme was fake news.
Check the fact check in the link I placed in my earlier post. (snopes article linked below)
Yes, NFL got money from the military. Yes, a military spokesperson said it was a recruitment purpose. ANC's meme said players should stay out of politics because of this. Why? They never were paid or forced to join any of the patriotic displays. Players came onto the field before 2009 on their own. And for some reason they can't protest now?
This is another propaganda fake news item directed at people making a simple protest about cop on black violence. It pisses me off that people fall for it. Just read the meme. It's a false train of logic.
Because: Players started coming onto the field in 2009 (this is false).
And: NFL took money in 2011 and 2013 (this is true).
Therefore: Players should stay out of politics.
My conclusion: People don't know how to read.
The people we select to represent us. Fucking hypocritesAmong the back-page stories you may have missed this week; Pro-life Republican Congressman (R-PA) urged his mistress to have an abortion when he got her pregnant.
That is all.
He certainly doesn't represent me.The people we select to represent us. Fucking hypocrites[/QUOTE
