BioBizz All Mix First Grow Questions

Good day fellow growers,

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my thread, I appologise in advance for the length and if i've misused any terminology. I hope one day i can pass on any information you guys teach me.

A little backstory, I tried a grow in a DWC system that didn't work out very well. I basically followed the instructions on the nute bottle and killed the plants off very early on.

I've decided to move onto a BioBizz grow as after trying to clean the DWC system of the massive salt built up the nutes gave was a massive pain in the arse.

Anyway, I have a few question before i pop the seeds that id quite like answering. If you guys spot something, please let me know, money isn't a massive issue (within reason). Herbs are hard to come by where I live so this is purely a personal grow.

1) Germination
I have a pack of Root Riot. Would you reccomend I use the paper towl method of getting a good tap root before placing them in the root riot?

2) Root Riot Moisture
How much water does the Root Riot need? Should I fully soak the Root Riot and then shake off the excess water like you would Rock Wool, or pipette a little water in at a time?

3) Transplanting
How long do I wait before transfering the root riot into the BioBizz soil?

4) Moisture pre-grow
I read somewhere that the BioBizz All Mix needs to be completely saturated a few days before you do anything with it? Is this the case?

5) Propegator
Should i use a propergator? is it worth it?

5) PH of feed
My tap water doesnt move much between 7.10 and 7.20 (usually sitting bang in the middle at 7.15) do i need to adjust? If so to what level? If so again, with what method? I've heard using PH Down does not go well with the BioBizz.

6) When to start feed?
I found this grow chart online specifically for BioBizz. Is it acurate? I have all 4 sets of nutes it suggests. Would it be better to start at 1/4 of manufacturers guidance such as in a hydro grow?

7) Lighting
I have a wide selection of lighting available, Just wondering what you would recommend?

8) Co2
I've bought a CO2 bag - it wont harm, right?

9) Closed ventelation
I'll be growing in a tent. the additional Co2 will mean i probably wont need to have dump the air into the room will it?

10) Fans
Where should i position my fans? I have 3 medium fixed fans currently trying to cerulate the air around the tent. Should i have a fan blowing at the seedlings for when they pop?

11) distance of lighting
How far from the soil should i start my lights off at?

12) Pots
Im using Smart Pots, thats good, right?

EDIT:
I have all the links to everything i have bought however forums rules say i cannot share links with such a nooby account. sorry.

Posting for the first time in a while, I will try to answer your question as good as I can:
1) I've been using root riot/stone wool cubes/peat moss. It doesn't matter as long as there is no heavy concentration of nutrients in the medium
2) keep it moist. soak it once and it should be enough... maybe once more after 2-3 days.
3) it depends on your soil. just go with regular "vegetation" soil when the roots are showing outside of the root riot cube
4) not sure, but sounds like a load of BS
5) might help, but not needed
6) you probably won't need PH up or down at all
7) I have used MH, HPS, CMH, and LEDs. I recommend LEDs all the way if you can build your own. Although I don't grow any more I like to build COB lamps on 20x30 cm heastinks just for soldering practice :)
8) IDK. I don't have any experience with that - maybe skip it if you're just starting off
9) same
10) Depending how large your tents is and how many seedlings you have. Computer fan(s) are ok for 3-4 seedlings in the first 2-3 weeks
11) Depends on lights and Ampers (if you go with LEDs). I start off seedlings with a Philips LED bulb and I keep it 4-5 cm away from the top (I'm sure you can do better than me) - just make sure it's not too hot on the leaves (use your hand to "measure" heat)
12) I don't think smart pots are stable. Maybe use Air Pots if you want the same functioality

Thank you very much for the speedy reply.

I get a little worried about the plants stretching with LED's after reading some threads. I've already got a 600w and a 1000w LED lamp, is that too powerful for starting them off?

Perhaps a 125W CFL? is so, how far up would people reccomend?

rosenthal, cervantes guarantees success first time out for me !
Wow! you've built up quite a library. Thank you for sharing! Much appreciated.
