You make the mistake of accepting what they tell you at face value.
Are you the Amazing Kreskin now?

Or just very presumptuous?

Worry more about your own perceived mistakes. I don't accept opinion pieces as fact. Can you say that? Do you think blogs and YT are corroborated to the same standards as broadcast news?

Tell me more about how the Washington Post's social media policy (to keep stupid stuff of FB) inhibits reporters from reporting.

Conspiracy around every corner again today?

And you don't know the difference between news and opinion.
You are talking to somebody who starts with a conviction regarding a subject then stops reading after they find something, anything, that agrees with their preconceived notion.

Between fake logic and hewing to conspiracy theories, it is possible for tty to live in alternate reality just as long as the bills get paid.

@ttystikk , too funny that you blew past UB's post where Assad just made you the fool for hewing to the Sarin gas conspiracy theory. It doesn't fit your alternate reality, does it?.

Follow the money. And remember George Carlin; 'there's a club of owners, and you ain't in it'.

George Carlin.

The comedian George Carlin.

Cool comedian, I liked him.

But not as a new source.

So, just to keep up here (because 'I'm not a critical thinker' according to you),

I should get my news from YT, blogs and comedians?

Thanks for the advice. I'll stick to broadcast news.

Just don't think you're getting the whole story from unbiased sources.

And for the record, George Carlin got a lot closer to the truth than you ever will.

He watched the same news I do.

Name me a credible, corroborated unbiased source.

I actually met Carlin once. I also met the Amazing Kreskin. You'd be surprised how ordinary they were IRL.

No I wouldn't. But I'm also quite certain that Carlin rubbed shoulders with people the news doesn't cover.

There is no such thing as a completely unbiased source and you know it.

Lies by omission are still lies.

A lie is when someone doesn't tell the truth. (watch any Trump speech)

If they don't say anything, then it's not a lie. You actually have to speak or write something to lie.

Carlin and Kreskin both rubbed shoulders with me. Or I should say they had their arm around me once for a picture backstage. I was also on the local news once, a 10 second segment commenting on something.
Kills another theory.

Just no.

Choosing to omit information in order to change a story is lying, even if a direct falsehood isn't made.

'Choosing' to omit?

Real reporters only 'omit' what they can't definitively corroborate.

Kind of like the Buzzfeed golden shower story.

The networks left it out. Were they lying?

You have to back shit up. Period.
Unless it's YT or blogs or a comedian's act.

I have a strong suspicion you go with stories that aren't backed up. Kind of like opinion pieces.

Perfectly acceptable to read and ponder, but wrong to guarantee them to be 100% fact based. Opinions are fine. Don't call them facts unless they are.

Right. So when Brian Williams takes every story 'down the middle' including climate change by giving equal time to the deniers, you think that's objective? How about choosing not to run stories?

Type less, think more.

Everybody gets to speak. Deniers too.

This is America.

Follow you own advice in that last line.

If somebody wants to deny the obvious, we have no right to stop them.

You can only argue the facts. Deniers don't reside in a fact based world.

If somebody wants to say red is green, they're an idiot. But they still get to say it.

Is that consistent with your opinion on Nazi's who abide by the laws free speech?

To present the deniers' point of view as fact is a lie.

I'm glad I'm not as gullible as you are.

That crosses the line. Global warming deniers don't.

Both are assholes though.

Next question?
What line? And who are you or anyone else to determine who gets to exercise their constitutional rights and when?

Your contradictions are exactly what the Framers were protecting us from. Too bad we let our government ignore them.
