Need real advice from parents with autistic children

So my dellima is as follows;

My son is 3, has what is suspected yo be autism, we cannot get a sound diagnosis, and right now things are tough. My boy is non verbal, so just about any normal task can turn into a meltdown almost instantly. My wife and I have been working around the clock, learning and trying to teach him sign language, have specialists come in our home every day of the week, any and everything we can think of to advance him.

He has self harming behavior, he hits himself in the head, he is horrid to his little brother, and the list goes on.

Despite all of this, I obviously want nothing more than for my son to be happy and healthy. He is truly smart as a whip, and I love him to death.

I guess my question is, does cannabis help autistic people, or those in the spectrum, to lead a better life? Have any of you with young kids given them edibles, tinctures, etc. And noticed positive change? If so, is high cbd what helped? What strains do you recommend for helping autism?
What are the beat ways to administer cannabis to a child?

I don't want my kid high, I just want to help him.

Probly hi cbd low thc. And hes 3? Maybe try cbd suckers? Theyre really cheap. I pay $1.50 apiece they do me wonders for my issues. Mental illness is hard, and its only gonna get worse before it gets better. And what ever you do dont give him any pharm psychs, hes way to young and they actually lower quality of life in my oppinion. Also maybe try passion flower?

Brain Matters are helping people just like your child. I'd look into this for chronic brain issues.
You dont want any legal issues while trying to treat your childs symptoms either.
there are videos of cannabis and disease interacting instantly on youtube you'll find interesting maybe. If my child was suffering I would not hesitate to try cannabis to help him keep safe, not for one frikken second.

@curious2garden so as of now, there are no drs in my area that are willing to pave the way with me, I made many a phone call this morning. I think that the issue is that since our mmj bill sas yet to take to truly take root it may be some time before they would be willing to help in that area.

I also think it doesn't help that the area I'm in, and those surrounding it are very far right wing conservatives.

I refuse to have my son on pills, he doesn't deserve to be turned into a zombie.

However we made a huge breakthrough this morning, Atlas, my son, spoke. In trying to get him to talk, we always ask what he wants, to which he has always just pointed and said "ehh", yet he was getting into a fuss and I asked him what he wanted and he said blippi(guy on YouTube that makes early learning videos for kids ). At first I thought it was a fluke, so I asked him again and he said blippi plain as day. It was huge because the only other word he has ever said, is dad.

I heard mj can be VERRY beneficial for people with autism. You can try something high in cbd. I know they sell cbd crystals which I'm sure you can bake something with it. Good luck with everything.

I would travel to California or Colorado to see a physician who had done this and get support in starting. I would not medicate my child based on Youtube videos etc... I would find a sympathetic physician for support.

The support groups I referred to maybe able to help there.

You can try contacting Jynx or miss rose (they are on instagram https://www.instagram.com/_jinxproof/) from Jynx proof genetics. Their son has autism and they run an autism awareness and advocacy non-profit that has made inroads in using ipads with special software to aid in communications.

Jynx is also a breeder (9 pound hammer is one of hs creations) and uses cbd therapy as part of his son's treatment.

That would be a must have conversation if my child were afflicted.

I'm not gonna give up getting him what he needs, even if I have to make my own topicals, or cbd gummies. This is the kindest, most lucid thread I've ever seen in TNT. I'm so proud of us. OP, I raised a child with Asperger's for years (son from my wife's first marriage), and it was quite a struggle. His symptoms were very similar to your son's. We never even thought of cannabis as a treatment, not sure why since his mom and I smoked it every day. With a LOT of patience, love and special programs, he has turned out to be a charming, self-sufficient (for the most part) young man. Best of luck to you, you sound like a great dad that has what it takes...

Research the strain Candida CD-1. I’m growing it for my mother right now as she doesn’t want psychoactive medication for her fibromyalgia. It’s a 20:1 CBD strain that never surpasses 1% THC in all tests in all its phenotypes. I’ll be making her canna caps to take 4 times a day to try to alleviate her pains.

Holy shit this is hard to try and explain with a broken keyboard and a twin brother with kleinfelters (spell check) my twin brother can do a lot of shit including operating heavy equipment like a champ. ONe thing I can speak from experience in my situation is treat them like they're normal. Don't put your kids in the special class unless they need it. I'd (unprofessionally say) maybe let him mature a bit more adult influence? again and again im speaking off experience and no medical background on the subject

I'm very glad this guy's post got help. He's a good guy that needs it and I hope he comes back and updates us along the way.
