havent hung it yet but first impressions are amazing. seems extremely well made. its quiet. seems relatively cool to the touch but i didnt run it for more than a few minutes. it goes up in the next few days. when this run is done i am converting over to them 100% if it does wellHow is that light, interested in it.
Be sure to run nothing but distilled water through it.new humidifier is in and its a MONSTER! atomizes a gallon per hour and has a built in float valve. no more daily refilling!
They get plenty hot but they're good lights. I got an early production unit to test a little more than a year ago.havent hung it yet but first impressions are amazing. seems extremely well made. its quiet. seems relatively cool to the touch but i didnt run it for more than a few minutes. it goes up in the next few days. when this run is done i am converting over to them 100% if it does well
thanks man. ive been busting my ass trying to get this place up and running. good thing is im not in too much of a rush since the veg plants are still small and dont need the main room yet. thats whats saving me from killing myself lol. clones and moms doing their thing. the clones had been way overwatered and the roots looked like shit. stringy and barely developed. i transplanted them and now i will get them on a watering schedule so they can dry out a bit in between and breathe better. just innoculated them with beneficials and probiotics. hoping they will respond well and explode soon.Very nice setup!!!
I'm thinking of switching to DTW myself but was going to use a tray with a drain to a condensate pump to take the runoff outdoors. Are you using straight tupur for the DTW?ive decided to move the DEva to a tent to test genetics with. it was the only ballast i had that was dimmable and i figured this was the perfect way to test it out. i set it up with its fancy controller that simulates sunrise/sunset as well as having high temp auto dim and extreme temp shut down, among other things. this will be a top feed dtw tupur grow. decided on that because adding an elevated hydro table in there would kill my headroom and that light is supposed to be absurdly bright and i dont wanna fry them. gonna throw a shallow liner in there and raise the pots up a couple inches so i can just shop vac the runoff every day or two.
nutrients will be megacrop with a bunch of beneficials and some silica(either OSA28 or some nanoparticle silica from europe).
strains are mycotek dog cage(glue fire x gorilla dog) and chemhead og(deadhead og x gorilla dog)
the yellow tote is the res for this party. it will sit outside of the tent and will have a separate pump for circulation/aeration for the microbes.

thats the plan. it already has a bunch of shit mixed in it. its designed for multiple feeds a day which is the way to go with cocoI'm thinking of switching to DTW myself but was going to use a tray with a drain to a condensate pump to take the runoff outdoors. Ya I saw the Royal gold is pretreated but they are still saying add extra calmag I beleive. I haven't decided but leaning towards hydroton only because I have a huge amount I bought years ago .thats the plan. it already has a bunch of shit mixed in it. its designed for multiple feeds a day which is the way to go with coco
Cool. I just ordered a calcium supplement that someone here recommended. It's a non nitrate based calcium that won't boost nitrogen levels unnecessarily. I also picked up some silica supplement called grow-sil. Gonna see how that goesYa I saw the Royal gold is pretreated but they are still saying add extra calmag I beleive. Nice light!dialing back the nutes since i have an overfeeding problem. i was bumping my food up because of the co2 but i dont think they needed it. i was trying to stay ahead of the curve but i jumped the gun. it will all be over by the time i get it dialed in lol.
the clones have stalled like nothing ive experienced before. they havent grown an inch. the roots looked terrible when i went from the cups to the pots. i switched up the nutes, added beneficials and have been giving them a kelp foliar once a week to no avail
some day i'll stop feeling like an amateur...... hopefully
