HOW LONG...do you veg your clones for?

I dont wanna tell anyone how to run their grow, but simply to offer suggestions and share my experinces to help better your decisions and help you gauge what you can expect for a given scenario. If you have the time and the room, veg out as long as you want to. Train them, play with them, scrog em etc. I personally cut veg out of the picture because I can try a lot of different strains in a shorter period of time without losing on harvest and without having 7 different strains under one light. That shit can be a total headache. I will get an absolute minimum of 12 zips per table every 4 wks the way I currently run. Your expectations are even less than mine with your 1KW light so you should have NO PROBLEMS with weight by cutting out veg time and just cloning, rooting, then transplant into final pot & going straight into your flower room. Get you a 4 week perpetual by only loading half of the flower room with 4 plants. 4 weeks later introduce the next set of 4 transplanted clones into the flower room. You have now established a harvest every 4 weeks. In the mean time, you will be taking and rooting cuts every 2 weeks under your t5's. Seeing as how it only takes 2 weeks on avg to get roots from cuttings you will be ahead of the game by week 4 of taking cuts and throwing away the ones that dont make the final choice for transplant.
Sorry Red but without looking back in thread, you are keeping moms? I couldn't get the timing down taking cuttings from cuttings with out revegging, and keep plant numbers down. If only I had a 3 week finisher lol.

yes, I keep mommas and do cuttings in the same 4x4ish room. Its a great relationship in there. I take cuts and it keeps mommas managable without feeling like Im "wasting plant".

Thanks I'm thinking it's the only way I can get a perpetual thing going in my limited space and again keep plant numbers to a, still high, but under the mandatory time number :(.

Running moms, in my mind, makes it much easier to run on a schedule of your choosing. Without them, my cuttings would be to large by the time I could move them. I also run trays with 6 plants each so I'm trying to move them as opposed to individual plants which creates even more logistic issues. If I veg from cut more than 3-4 weeks I'm growing into the lights :(. I've ran seed runs at 12/12 from start and was not impressed but have not tried cutting which, really have already been vegged for a bit :). Great help all, thanks!

Pretty much, yes. Topping slows them some....
I did a couple of topped (once) versus untopped outside this summer and the untopped girls were double the height but pretty close to the same yield. Ya we're gonna stick with topping for the secret grow, 10' plants are not secret lol.

Anyone here do a perpetual harvest! With clones and a few mothers
I do, in 3x3 ebb x flow tables. Love perpetual as there is always something to do . I use rockwool cubes ,clean and simple . I then put 3x3 cubes into 1gal pots of hydroton and veg till I see some good roots come out of the bottom of pot .Then onto the flower table . Used to run HPS on veg table, now I run a combo of MH and HPS wow what a bonus .
