I feel ya, breeding is totally driving my grows now. I have very limited space, so that's challenging. I also don't grow perpetually, only do two indoor grows per year, so the process of crossing and testing is a loooooong term project. But it's still the thing I'm most focused on.
I think it's cool you're using the single cobs, I've often thought that would be the optimal set up. I've taken my tents apart and reassembled them each a couple of times, and I swear the connection points are getting looser. Every time I bump into them everything swings around, I'm afraid if I had all my cobs on singles they'd go crashing into each other every time I unzipped the tent. My 2x4 tent will have 10 cobs in it, I don't think I could manage them hanging individually.
I'm currently setting up to rebuild my lights, it will be the fourth iteration of one of them! I've come full circle, and I'm putting them all (back) on one fixture. I've had grows with different height plants that make a single light difficult to live with, but I'm going to try and deal with it with other means -- either raising up the short plants on platforms, and/or super-cropping, or... whatever it takes. We'll see how it goes, it seems growing is an ongoing experiment.
Good to see you're finding a platform that you're comfortable with that works for you. I look forward to checking in and seeing how your continuous evolution goes
