After months of debating, I finally pull the trigger on two 260w from growerslights and now their website is awol and no emails going through. Anyone have any inside info?
I had an order for a qb also and it was ment to ship out Nov 28... Never happened and the site went down. No emails going through. Although ive had two other orders go through no hiccups with them. So maybe their site shit the bed or the company is dead lol.
I called my card company to have them dispute the charge

Hopefully another retailer will have some boards soon. If not im going to do a strip build as I need some lights for my 3x3 tent in flower asap. Its got a ghetto setup using some old Cree’s & its not enough coverage so I want to upgrade it asap as I have the funds to do so now.

Check out the Luminus cobs at COBkits !!! He also has Citizen..
Im searching for the best efficiency and lightspread. Thought these qbs where the very next step in lightning? But he.. if somebody can convince me that the cxb3590 cxm22 or the vero29 are a better choiche then i will buy those :)

If you're going to run the boards at 60w to avoid having to use heatsinks, why not just buy QB120s? They're significantly cheaper, and run at 60w without a heatsink.
I could imagion that if 60w is max for the qb304 without heatsink than the half of the board @60w is to much? Or are they that more efficient?

Boards will be restocking early next week.
Are you restocking all boards this time? 304,288,120?
It would be great if you can restock everything at once so I can make a single order of different boards instead of multiple orders with multiple shipping costs. Each order is a minimum 110USD to ship to my country.

Will that little banner on the website that tells you the date and time of restock always be up to date and functioning if there is a release date on boards ?
I only ask because i check everyday and it hasn't had any other message than the hlg 300 and hlg 550 message.

I cant see how a 288 run at 60 watts is going to cover a significantly different area than a 120 at 60 watts, just gonna do it hotter
Width-wise, there's about a 2.5" difference between the boards. With 10 boards in a 4x4 I guess it just depends on the layout he wants to use. But yes, I agree - the wider spread of the diodes on the 120 should keep the board cooler than a 304 at the same wattage. At least, that makes sense to my layman's mind.

I'm assuming the 288s are going to run cooler, they are more packed together, but with more than double the diodes they are getting run really softly

You don't think packing them together makes the board run warmer? I really have no idea, I'm just regurgitating the observations/opinions I've seen. If I ever get that damn IR thermo I've been planning on, I'll test it myself with one of my 120s vs one of my 288s. Now I'm curious!

The choice of qboards was made for the efficiency. 120 diodes must be driven harder for 60w than 304 diodes. So in my opinion the qb304 also driven at 60w will be more efficient. More efficient means more wattage to light insteed of heat.
Or is this so little that you shall not notice any difference?

Ok aside from qb120, 288 or 304. Lets say i can get my hands on 10x qb304 boards. I have a tent that is 120x120 (4x4)
Aiming for 800-1000 ppfd.
What is the right way to go for the most big buds? 6x100 or 8x75 or all 10 @60w?
Gonna do scrog with 5 plants so i think spread is better then deep penetration...

@DutchGrow I use 9 x 288 per 3x3. Could put it in a 4x4.
The spread is great. I did a sog 12-14 inch plants, the bottom buds where as hard as the top.
I think anyone of your choices will do just fine. except the 10 boards seems like and awkward design ? maybe 12 if your gonna go balls in.
