not sure why its doing thati think because I was use email to post plants look 100% better stalks greening up
Thanks Thumper... I have not seen the girls since last night. Just got home and been out of town. Was actually traveling I65 today and remembered speaking about that on the thread yesterday and started reminiscing of the heavy poundage I have ran up and down that interstate back in the day and how lucky I am, in all honesty. I deliver pounds with drones now, the hauling days are over... (Kidding) lol. I wish.

But I really thought about how much weight had actually been up and down that road, good lord only knows.

Anyway, I have been home long enough to stretch the stiffness out of my legs and back, then heading down to the lab to see what's going on. I believe everything has "almost" been corrected with my plants. One thing left in mind that it standing out to me is a possible cal-mag deficiency. Well, lets lean more on just the "mag" part of it... I gave them a light misting last night of cal-mag and B52... Lets see where they stand tonight. Should honestly be a noticeable difference. This is the first time I have not added epsom salts to my medium, I usually always mix it up when I'm mixing dolomite lime, perlite and EWC as well. It always makes them the most beautiful green when mixed dry into the soil before transplant. Kinda temporarily time released, in a sense...

By the way, I have been wondering how many people would be interested in skva Chem' 91 S1's??? I have been thinking about it hard.

That strain is hard to find and the true cut is super fucking rare.

Be back soon with an update!

Anyone heard of these guys??? Grandpa Buds Seeds?

I get messages on my phone informing me of new drops, new breeders, restock etc... from seeds here now. These went out of stock in less than 4 days.

Screenshot_2018-01-25-03-05-26.png

THC 28%-43%!?!?!? Wtf? That can't be right. Highest THC numbers I have seen "listed" on that entire site between all breeders was like 33 or 34%.

That is insane.

Also wondering if anyones heard of Ethos Genetics?? They seem to have some really nice looking products, but not so sure about their gear as I have never ran it or heard of it.

Well I thought that "43%" was a typo... But then googled the strain and found a little info on the Infinite Euphoria strain. The breeder claims as high as 43%...--> Breeder claims.

From the three reviews I see on there, sounds good.

Kinda like back on black Friday I bought some "Tutankhamon" seeds and according to a lot of very recent write ups and articles it is supposed to be in the top 5 to 10 strongest strains in the World with super high THC levels. If that's true, I would like to have a good male to breed it to and just play around with it. IF I get a pheno of it worth enough that is.

I might run the Tutankhamon next run and just see what she is truly capable of and if it lives up to its hype. Anyone ever tried this strain???

I have a bunch of ghost train haze / chocolate diesel cross seeds. At one time ghost train was the strongest strain at around 30 percent.
If you wanted to try a few I have some.
If I ever get back home.

I just seen the strain name when looking a little closer. Lol
That's chi. I know that plant well and could get a cut of it I'm sure . NO problem.
It has a outstanding taste and smell .
Huge producer , even more than the blue dream is easy to grow and has a excellent high.
I don't think it's anywhere near 43percent but in the mid 20s. Completely guessing .
I smoke extracts from time to time and build up a quick resistance to them.
I find I get higher off the flower then extracts.
Extracts only extract a few of the canabanoids out of the plant and there are around 30 of them in a plant and no one knows what all they are.
I wouldn't be able to get you a cut right now but could figure it out.
I still think the Kentucky skunk is the best weed I ever grew had or smoked.
I know alot of people who would agree with me. At least the ones who smoked the cut of it I had.
Kentucky skunk is perhaps the rarest strain not available.
If you get that plant , back cross and stabilize it you would make a killing on the seeds.
Matter of fact I think that is a project if you have those genetics we should work on.
Kentucky skunk has the most insane smell of anything ever I have seen.
I miss her so much.

I had something hit me the other night when I was underground with the girls... I just happened to think about radon gas. Then as ironic as it is, had a guy mention it as well over on ICmag in one of my threads.

I have googled the subject of radon gas and effects on plants. I did not find hardly anything at all on the matter but my quest to find out an answer still continues. What if this is the cause for the yellowing/pale leaves that I have such a hard time correcting? Could it possibly play role in the effects of radon gas???

Then I found a government website that offered documented and up to date information for each state on radon gas levels. You can select any county to see the graph... Unfortunately my county is in like the top 5 for highest radon gas in the entire state...

Hmmm.... Makes a man wonder.

it happen at a grow and it was actually from methane gase escaping from a sewer p trap. Once we Jack hammered the floor drain up and installed proper ptraps the problem went away.

Howdy Folks!

I have been posting for a couple of weeks over on the "Grow Room Design and Setup" thread section. If you want to follow my progress of the construction of my operation please click this link to get more details of the setup...... http://rollitup.org/t/underground-dream-garden-construction-and-troubleshooting.954386/

Now, on with the basics and introduction...

Basically the op itself is still under construction, however, I have decided to go ahead and move my progress from the setup thread to a journal, as the grow will be under way hopefully by this coming Monday...

Now let's go over the basic history and setup of the operation.

I will be running this grow underground in a large storm cellar that was built back in the mid to late 90's by a man whom ran a concrete business, on a new property I have purchased recently. So this tells me that the structure itself is made very well and is going to hold up for a while. I have had a zero turn mower and a terramite "small backhoe" on the top of the cellar so we know it isn't going to cave in...

I have put 3 layers of flat white drylok masonry paint on the walls and filled in any cracks I had found in the process with masonry crack sealer which there were very very few small cracks here and there.

I then built a studded wall structure out of 2x4s. The cellar itself measures 18ft long, 8ft wide and 6ft 3 inches tall. So I went ahead and enclosed a 6ft by 18 foot room and left a small walkway/lung room on the outside of the grow room.

I insulated the inside of the room with 3/4 inch reflective rigid foam insulation, reflective side turned towards the grow room. This material seems very reflective.. The outside studs for the wall in the lungroom/walkway are also insulated and sealed so this room will be insulated extremely well. Sealed all cracks and crevices with spray foam sealer.

I also went ahead and split the center of the room with studs and foundation support just in case I ever wanna split the rooms into two, all I have to do is throw on some foam board insulation and it will become two 8x6 rooms... Easy does It!

That is most of the basics for the structure. Oh, And I do have dirt floors that will be lined with plastic and heavy duty tarps over it. I believe this will work just fine because you seem them do the same thing beneath homes in crawl spaces, they lay thick plastic to create a vapor barrier.

Now for the electric..

The room is setup with a 100 amp panel currently and is fed in with 2246 aluminum wire, enough to power an entire home. I will only be running 4 1000 watt lights for now on 240v from a titan Helios 7 controller, but in the future I plane on upgrading to 6000 watts total and also digging out the room deeper and adding a concrete floor to help with height and moisture issues. Honestly before I ever done anything period to this cellar I never seen a leak except from around the window which will be sealed. No moisture has ever been seen either on the walls or celing.

I will have a 70 pint dehumidifier, 6 inch insulated duct, 2 blockbuster hoods, 2 dominator xxxl hoods, one carbon filter, a can fan pro 450cfm inline fan (have an even stronger one for backup if needed ( connected to a thermostatically controlled outlet, a space heater to heat the room during lights off and a few oscillating fans.

I will be running promix bx, either 3 or 5 gallon grow bags and likely a scrog system as well. It will be my first time ever doing scrog so I will have to get that dialed in.

Basically I feel I am off to a good start. There may be a few changes that I will make here and there but for now I believe I am ready for take off.

This is not my "first grow", I have at least 20 indoor under my belt and 15 plus years experience outdoors. This is however my first run in the cellar, in a larger grow area where I am used to running two 5x5 tents. This will in a way be new to me and I am extremely excited to see how it all works out!

I had obtained around 32 cuttings back in October that have been vegging since they rooted so my first go I am going to just throw them from the solo cups and tote they are in now into 3 gallon grow bags and veg them out for 2 weeks or less before flipping to 12/12. Now I do have a veg room in a separate location but it is getting some construction done now as well and I need to make sure the spider mite infestation is gone from when I shut it down back in late August.

I will be running the following clones...

Headbanger #4
GG #4
413 Chem
Chem 91
And finally, StarDawg "Corey cut"

I also have a $2,200 seed order I will be working with soon as well. Will list those later on. For now, heading back to the cellar to get to work :D...

Here is some new progress...

Yeah definitely some granite around here. When researching Radon gas I learned a whole lot about it. I definitely know levels are high in my county.

But I don't think that's the problem.

Was just a thought that went through my mind while thinking about Radon, is if, and if so, then how it effects marijuana or plants in general.

Now what I plan to do is once the girls dry out a bit after their transplant a bit ago, if they have not improved much then I am going to proceed in giving them a light flush with 1/2 strength nutrients and some added cal-mag. I believe that will be the best option for now.

Also something I have learned tonight is a thing called VPD "Vapor Pressure Deficit"... It pretty much explains that your temps need to be precisely coordinated correctly with your RH humidity for maximum development and output.

There is also a scale that gives you the exact correlation in how to adjust your temp and RH. I am going to be adjusting this tonight on par with the graph. So now my humidity will be synchronized perfectly with my temperatures. I come to find while researching this VPD that my humidity was much lower than recommended. It has been a steady 50 to 55% @ 75 degrees, whereas the RH should be at 65 to 70%.

I am going to increase my veg temps to 79 degrees so with the rise in temps, humidity will be steady and controlled at 70 to 75% for optimal growth and development.

Another issues I have come to find is this... I have two T5 light setups and around 11 plants per light (I think). The plants beneath the light closest to the entrance of the room is about 4 foot from a box fan. The plants in the front most area under the first light, are smaller, lighter in color and less healthy/vigorous as the plants in the back of the room. I believe this is because of the fan blowing directly onto the plants and it is causing dry out in the leaves which as we all know, can resemble deficiencies and cause problems as well. It messes with the plants ability to transpire correctly and the wind goes directly into those pores and dries out the leaves and return the plant is losing moisture, is losing nutrients and unable to store them inside the leaves properly..

I should have already caught on to this. So I will point to the fan towards side of the wall to cause a rebound effect, the wind will then basically bounce off the wall and spread back out onto the plants in various directions, still retaining a good mixture of air flow within the canopies.

So for this morning, these are the two changes I will make. Plants should be due for a watering within a couple of days and this is when I will decide to flush out some salts or not. Since the "flip" is approaching I will likely go ahead and do the light flushing with 1/2 strength nutes because I definitely don't want them to be left hungry.

Stay tuned folks.

Anyone who may be interested, I would like to announce that I have some plans for the near future with breeding programs. I plan to hopefully have stock and begin dropping beans by this fall. Maybe before, but hopefully not after.

My focus will be mainly on Appalachian heritage strains that is not too well known to the medical and recreational communities. Lots of these genetics include but are not limited to (old school true road kill Kentucky skunk, worked Afghanis and afghan crosses, blueberry crosses etc). Also will be focusing on Chem and Skunk crosses as well.

Then there is the bagseed line I will be working with. Can range anywhere from local to imported mexican, african, Jamaican brick. I have old hippie friends that have stashed of seeds put back from way back in the day I will be working and trying to pop as well.

Right now everything seems just a blur and is basically laying around in pieces, but I will be picking it all up and organizing it to be put together in the near future.

I will likely keep everything off of the main stream for a while, until I get it all in order. And have no idea where my plans will take me from that point.
