Anyone else hate Windows 10? Windows 7 upgraded without my permission and gave me the BSOD. I had to buy 10 and one of my problems is that when I installed itunes it doesn;t recognize any of my music that loaded from store bought cds. So I got angry and deleted itunes and discovered 10 doesn;t even have media player, so now I have no way to play music from my GD cpu! I like music.

IS IT JUST ME!?!?!?!?!?
I feel your frustration. I tried I tunes for a minute but it isn’t as good as spodify. For 9.99 pay for spodify. It’s really great! If u need any help let me know but it really kicks ass and is super user friendly and easy to use on up to 3 devices at the same time.

Meh, I liked windows 7 better than 8 or 10.
Why would they delete the media player? Didn't they get sued for bad behavior over media back in the day?

Yep, I run 7.refuse to put 8 or 10 on, they are pieces of shit

The installation doesn't take so long, it is all the patching.... You can actually download all the patches and manually install them with a little dos app

After I upgraded from 8 to 10, I found my music in windows.old, but from what I read online this was the exception not the rule. Many found the .old file empty. Sometimes third party "clean up" programs ask you if you want to delete old files or programs :( FWIW, Windows Live Essentials with Media Player will run on 10. I still use the email program. (I liked 7 better too, but I liked Win2000. You gotta update/updrade at some point ;) )

edit: did you try all the fixes/searches? https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6561

VLC player, have you tried it?

It's all about how DRM is handled, and thanks to the DRM on CD's windows media player/Groove Music can refuse to play as the DRM is to prevent you from ripping the CD. Usually another player such as VLC gets around that BUT if you are looking at CD's from such as the era of the Great Sony DRM Rootkit Scandal it can be an issue getting them to play full stop.

To get back to the other problem, there's no reason the latest iTunes should not work on Win10. This is another of these cases where I'd have to physically be at Clayton's computer to see what is going on for it will be a silly setting somewhere that's being a PITA.

I always say VLC because it really will play anything, I once took the hard drive out of my HD recorder, hooked it up to the PC and copied the relevant files over (they use a sort of Linux as software, easy to look at the files in Windows, look for the largest files) and VLC could play them.

I'm taking a shot in the dark that it's so old that all your browsers still use Flash and dont do the newer HTML5? I'm not familiar enough with Windows to give you any helpful advice, sorry. What browsers have you tried?

You don't know what Windows? It'd be alot cooler if you did…
How did I miss this alert? I just watched the free half cropted lips not matching the sound shitty version last night. (and I could have been watching free Premium internet porn) I'm coming back at you with what Windows I have. But I think you just provided an answer to my question. I've tried Internet Explorer, FireFox, Google Chrome. Now do I research how to update from flash or do I get a new computer?... .. Alright alright alright man

Windows is not my realm but I'm thinking if the OS is so old maybe there are no browser patches to get the HTML5 and you need to update the OS. Or something. Really I have no idea. Maybe try googling like Firefox+html5+YouTube or something.
