I have great dreams. I dream in technicolor and surround sound, with smell, taste and touch. Many times I'm not even in them. Aliens show up in them on occasion. As a kid, I had a recurring dream where aliens were abducting kids including me in a carnival ride. I was a skin changer (huge wolf) in one and murdered a man who uncovered my secret and was trying to blackmail me. Wild stuff that happens completely drug free.

The stuff I've taken seems to suppress those dreams, definitely don't bring them into the waking world. Nothing stronger than mushrooms though.

Regarding DMT, LSD, peyote, some other really powerful psychoactive compounds. I haven't tried them and so I can't comment on what you experienced. Your use of DMT and from what others have told me about how their perception of the universe changed also inner peace gained from the experience is undeniable. I don't knock it, I just don't believe that it should be taken literally. I will say that I reject the existence of the supernatural world or beings. I don't know what you saw or how real it was to you. I just can't take the last step and say what you saw was real in the physical sense. Perhaps it was real to you in the mystical sense. There is probably meaning to be found here. You tell me because I don't know but I respect what people have told me, especially regarding how it helped them deal with their issues.

For myself, I'm more interested in exploring the physical world and view my dream state as something precious that helps me deal with it.

There is reality. We live in it but can't see it in its entirety. Physical science is one way to extend one's understanding of reality but it too is limited. Mysticism explores what science cannot. I think the drugs you talk about help open the mind to the mystical. My experiences with mushrooms didn't take me there. Otherwise, pot, booze and coke but very little of any of them until after college. I once did meth and another time snorted half a black beauty. Don't like speed one bit.
