Just be careful and don't over water the seedlings. That is the most common rookie mistake. I started my seedlings a week ago today and I still haven't watered them yet from day one.

You need to put lights on her! She's stretching quite badly already! Your light isnt strong or close enough.

Yeah I’m a newbie grower too but this definitely looks like you need either a stronger light or you need to bring the light closer to your plant! May I ask what light you are running? And also be very careful about over watering ! Trust me I know from experience.. I killed my first grow like that but now mine is looking real good !

Sorry to say, but that doesn't look 'great'. It is still very early, however, that 2nd node is growing too skinny already...usually from too much P or K. Also, you should have soil to the top of cup..if she continues to grow..you'll have to transplant very soon. Good luck!

Agree with everyone else here as well... Too much stretching is going to give you a headache to handle later on if you dont get your LED closer to the plant. Assume its LED as saw Blurple! :P keep on it, other things to do straight away are:

1. Buy a pH / EC / ppm meter
2. Buy some General Hydroponics pH down
3. Get some good organic nutrients for Veg and Bloom
4. Magnifying glass to inspect for any issues such as gnats, thrips etc
5. Measuring jug(s) for your nutrients and watering solutions

These 5 things should be the basics to get you off to a good start moving forward. Good luck with your grow project... Hope it turns out awesome :-)

Thanks everyone for all the great info and being nice and not snobby... as for my setup... hahaha! I'm new and just starting out, remember.. I'm embarrassed to post anything, seeing all your guys stuff (like most of the time hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars of equipment and stuff... then theres mine (pathetic, actually pretty sad).. I'd feel sooo dumb and probably get laughed at posting mine!

Nah we all start somewhere. My first run was a cheapo eBay tent and a sun system 150 w hps. Total for all of it was maybe 200 bucks. I think I got maybe 6 oz of fluffy bud but was hooked.

Most everyone starts off smaller, then the addiction comes like with anything and before you know it..your house is built and designed for your plants..you're just a guest now lol:) I still keep it simple..no vents and tents and co2. I started with about a dozen small cfl bulbs from the hardware store..no reflectors, nothing. Got a 3$ fertilizer i think from the same store..and used it all the way. Plants were starving at flowering..had no idea, by the time harvest came..i had nothing to trim, as all the leaves had fallen off and died lol. I got 1oz dry combined between the 2 auto's. A year later, added a small led and a cob led for flower, and i got 12 oz's off 3 auto's..became much better informed about how feedings work:) Time is all it takes..no substitute for it! Most of us get there if devoted enough, patience, and read, read, read!

Great, I can't think of a better hobby for someone that is cash strapped!! It's cheap, fun, and with an excellent reward at the end!

Yes..but before it gets to be fun..you will have some hair pulling moments..that has to be expected as it happens to pretty much everyone..but your first harvest, you will be eagerly awaiting!!! Don't 'crowd' them too much..like most ladies..they want to be left alone to thrive lol :)

We all have to start somewhere...You have a gang of folks giving you pointers & info..You do some reading to supplement what the folks are helping you with & most folks will help you. They remember many started the same way...Good growing...:peace:

You said PROBLEMS.. what is this looking like? View attachment 4108952 View attachment 4108954
you need to add more info..like what are you growing in exactly..don't just say soil:)..what is it actually called or what are the ingredients. Have you fed anything..if so, what and how much? How often do you water and how much? Did you monitor the ph of the water going in? Just off the pic..seems the medium is bone dry and the yellowing appears to be the plant not getting enough nitrogen. However it cant be for sure until more info is given.
