What kind of gram per watt yields are you pulling under COBs/Quantum Boards/Strips?

I'm curious to hear what kind of grams per watt you guys are pulling under efficient white LEDs.

Ive pulled as high as 1.25 grams per watt under chinese blurple panels, sadly I havent pulled a harvest under cobs/qbs/strips yet but I am about to and it's looking promising. I am hoping to get in the 1.7-2.0 gram per watt range under the two samsung F series strip lights I have right now, but I might get a bit less since I dont use CO2. I do run a fuckload of airflow through my tents though.

First run EB strips (gen 1) 200 watts, 4.5 sq feet, looking like about 0.65 gpw (dry), just harvested the bulk yesterday morning.
I totally think 1.5 gpw is doable in a well trained scrog without CO2. Just based on what I am seeing from this first test. My colas should have been twice the size they are and maybe even larger. So I harvested about 450 g wet, 350 trimmed and probably about 150g dried and cured, plus about 15 grams of oil that will come from the trim and popcorn plus about 20 g (dry) of early stuff I am already vaping. Still not too shabby considering I buggered the watering schedule and PH issues ensued. On a perfect run I could totally see 800-900 grams wet without changing anything in my setup. (which would be "bout a pound" dry/cured lol)

I would be pretty disappointed with .65g per watt... I got 20oz from 2 "600w" bluprles so if you are getting .65 with modern led lights I think you are doing something wrong.

My "record" is 1.7gr/Watt
Configuration was:
49 Wappa plants (7x7 one buds in soil) in a culture box of 150cmx150cm (5x5)
4x 4 CXB3590 CD at 1400mA (800W)
Around 1.4kg total without chemical fertilizer, only bio.

I won't do it again because the maintenance of 49 plants was a pain.. a big pain, it was a nightmare! Actually under the same configuration I grow 16 plants and my yield is around 1.3-1.5gr/Watt without trying to improve the gr/Watt.

I have an other culture box 120cmx120cm (4x4) where I use 600 Watts of vero29 C (2x 3 vero29C 3500K80CRI at 1400mA) and the gr/Watt is around 1-1.2gr/Watt.. I really prefer my CXB3590 configuration!

Small To Medium Grams I Say :peace:
I'll respect your request to stay away from your comp.
What can I say. When I see thrips or spider mites I have a hard time not pointing it out. I wouldn't want to beat you that way, watching your plants being eaten alive, not at all the way I would want to beat anyone in these contests.
I almost posted Sunday evening when I was worried you were going to bail.
Glad to see your plants are coming around, I knew you could do it.

This ass pimple is going to make it to harvest his 1st try in a comp with probably 12 to 20+ grams.
You better get your A game on Brother!
This organic soil grower will see you at harvest in 10 weeks.
Good thread to go off topic.
Gram per watts threads are probably filled with more exaggerated BS than any other topic on RIU LOL.
No BS Dawg, just pictures.

Seriously, I know your a big favorite and I have to hope for a fuck up to have a chance, I'm just hoping that fuck up isn't till mid flowering.;)
Peace Brother Dawg!

1.25 to 1.8 GPW.

One of my best runs was with Vero29g5 so... with a 60% efficient lamp and PPFD between 700-800 very possible to get over 2 GPW. The 200w lamps I'm using now are almost 60% efficient output, closer to 70% if I turn them down to 60% max power, would be 15.6 par watts per foot over their footprint.

Works out to a 10 sq/ft tent being lit by a 240 output watt lamp providing over 800 PPFD. I've considered doing it, but it's tough to reduce yield to prove a point.

Is that taking into account the driver efficiency loss when it's ran below max output? I calculated that if I turn down my samsung strip builds to 10% that the efficiency is the exact same as if i ran them at 100% because of the driver efficiency drop.

Interesting. No, those numbers are for output efficiency. Worth noting though that most of the driver loss happens after dimming past 50%. I'm just running on memory, but depending on the HLG model, some of them have almost no loss until 60-70% current drop.

I think it depends on strain and experience etc. I will let you know what my cobs pull but my 315 cmh got me to 1.06 gpw of solid bud and 3 oz of popcorn. It was a personal best for me.
I think I will get there with my timber too i just flipped it 3 days ago. vegged for 5 weeks in a net and now it is stretching into the net. :)

At the very least it is fun to try all of the different styles of grow.

My 2c.here
I think yield totally depends on the training, ie.the canopy density.
I get 1.2-1.4 gpw with 4x4 sized plants
and can totally see how 2gpw is easily possible for a SOG grow.

That makes a lot of sense actually because none of the plants energy is diverted to side branch growth. It is all concentrated on the 1 cola. or 2 if you top it once or what have you

Well I would hope every grower makes a conscience effort to try and completely fill their horizontal footprint, otherwise they're just missing out on lots of potential yield! Allowing some vertical stretch for some solid colas is important, too.

0.8 gram with my old hps cheap philip bulb and my best yielding strain

I went for cob vero and citezen i wish to get the 2gpw but 1.5gpw would make me happy for the investement
