I loved pureblend back when i was running botanicare
I always thought it had some of the best flavors
I just hate brown nutes since im not in coco

The kind trio was real good. Customizable with the base as only calcium nitrate. No color. 312 and 466 ratios. But customizable raising or lowering base for different strains or media.

Methanol is poisonous so you don't want to be drinking that shit. lol When you make a mash and then distill it you toss out the first 50 - 100ml called the heads that will have any methanol that may have been produced during the fermentation process. It has a lower boiling point than ethanol and will cook out first.

There are hundreds of different alcohols with ethanol, (the stuff we drink), being just one of them. ISO is also an alcohol. Basically any solvent that ends with -ol is an alcohol. ISO 's names are Isopropyl alcohol aka 2-propanol aka isopropanol.
Alcohols will readily dissolve oil or water soluble components of plant materials so to get a purer product the freezing techniques, eg: QWISO. QWET etc minimize contact time with the water soluble portions and just remove the surface oild leaving a lot of goodie behind.
Pure hydrocarbon solvents like butane, propane, naphtha, hexane etc need a longer contact time before things like waxes, chlorophyll etc will mix in. I distill naphtha from Coleman's Camp Stove fuel and use it to do a separation with oil I've made using ISO or some other alcohol to purify it and get rid of stuff I don't want. Can get BHO like quality doing that from not so great oil.

Methylated spirits are Ethanol that's been denatured with about 10% Methanol to render it non-potable. If you drink that you will get very ill and too much can blind or kill you.
Pure methyl hydrate smells just like pure ethanol and has no real taste so it doesn't affect the taste of oil made with it. Paint and hardware stores should carry it in 1 and 4L containers. I buy it pretty regularly for around $8/gal. Use it in my alcohol lamps to add CO2 to my grow rooms when needed.

I've grown clones from the same mother in DWC and pots of pure organic and neither myself or friends I've asked to try both could tell which was which.
So many strains are just mongrels of many other strains and it all tastes the same with the same buzz. I personally only grow strains that have some medicinal value to me and the buzz, smell and taste are secondary. The cod liver oil that my mom made us take as kids tasted like crap but I still take a spoonful a couple times a week because I know it's good for me.
CBD strains are my main focus now.
So many strains are just mongrels of many other strains and it all tastes the same with the same buzz. I personally only grow strains that have some medicinal value to me and the buzz, smell and taste are secondary. The cod liver oil that my mom made us take as kids tasted like crap but I still take a spoonful a couple times a week because I know it's good for me.

How are you doing yours? I like making cocobudder for a whole plant extract edible. I've been using cured pot but am eager to try using fresh off the plant pot to make it. Gets all the terpenes etc that evaporate during the cure. People that oven bake pot to activate it lose so much I never go there.

We don’t bake ours either. We do make coconut oil instead of butter and then it usually gets baked in muffins. Maybe it’s not as strong as possible but it sure works well. No one has ever asked for a second muffin that doesn’t eat them like me.
