Yeah with 3 feet of height i wouldnt even use cobs, I would 100% use strips or maybe quantum boards as it's more spread out so you can get close to the plants without it being too intense.I'm thinking a tent only 3 feet high is tough, more cobs or boards or strips would really help?
Right, one or two would suffice,I would think...I'm thinking a tent only 3 feet high is tough, more cobs or boards or strips would really help?
So now I'm back to square one...Yeah with 3 feet of height i wouldnt even use cobs, I would 100% use strips or maybe quantum boards as it's more spread out so you can get close to the plants without it being too intense.
No big deal man, you could maybe get away with COBs but with your height it will be tough. Strips are just like the COBs but they're strips so they're spread out.So now I'm back to square one...
I haven't even gotten to the rest of the thread, still on page 2, but i had to pause . . .$375 and no regrets
It's luckily not a blurple, but it has a similar efficiency of one lol. So it's just as bad. Not to mention the light he's talking about has a terrible design, it's like the spectrum kings. You want the diodes spread out, not all clustered together in a small area.I haven't even gotten to the rest of the thread, still on page 2, but i had to pause . . .
Did you seriously, in 2018, pay $375 for a 330 watt blurple?
And not to descend into a blurps v blurps convo, but a Vipar 900 will smoke that thing at a buck and a quarter less money.
Admittedly didn't look closely at the light. It's luckily not a blurple, but it has a similar efficiency of one lol. So it's just as bad. Not to mention the light he's talking about has a terrible design, it's like the spectrum kings. You want the diodes spread out, not all clustered together in a small area.
You can get much closer to your canopy with spread out light like from the samsung strips.Any LED is going to be recommended to keep at least 18-30" above your canopy so 3' isnt a lot of play room unless you plan on keeping them about 1.5' in height with training methods.
I keep my 200w Timber Vero29C Gen 7 fixture at about 12-18”.You can get much closer to your canopy with spread out light like from the samsung strips.
COBs need a fair bit of distance though. Even ran at 25-50 watts each.
That is the plan!!! I'm in for the long haul!!! Thanks for all of you guys help!!! I really appreciate it!!!You could go with a cheaper light for now and if you actually stick with growing and want to increase yields ect.. you could look in to getting a better light.
Maybe consider stocking complete cobs and quantum board with driver...not exactly but they do have cob mounted which is the more challenging part
With a total tent height of 3ft?^ Don't listen to this guy.
Look into Quantum Boards if you're looking for something plug and play.
