I got some random cuttings from a friend (six of them) . I grew once years ago when I was a teen but this is my first serious attempt. Let me list the specs first then ask some questions. I have done lots of reasearch (much to my missis’ annoyment) but I need a few specifics.

I have a 1.7x1.7x1.2 room set up. There’s a rhino 5inch high powered CF In there with oscillating fan and humidifier also. Temps range from around 20-28 degrees Celsius. Humidity around 45-60.

Cuttings arrived In little pods (not sure how else to describe them). They’re all female. I put them in little 12cm high pots and they have been in those for 8 days.

Lighting - I was rewiring a unit at work recently and salvaged some 100w led corn lights so I used them. There’s 4 of them in my grow around 350mm from the plants. These are on 18/6 but may go 20/4

They’re planted in Biobizz light mix.
Iv purchased bio grow, root juice and bloom
Tap water PH is around 6.8

After around 3 days I added root juice 1ml/l.
I also added 1ml grow at 5 days . Plants seem healthy after ten days

Questions.

The plants are over the transplant and are doing well with new growth every day. I can see one or two root tips coming from the small holes in the bottom so would you transplant. The new pots are tapered so I can’t tell what little they are but I’d estimate 3/4 litre.

Do you think my lighting is sufficient. All grow room walls are white. I have done an early fim as I want multiple nodes and will also supercrop.

Do you think the fim was too early and also when would you begin supercropping?

Be gentle as I know this question has many many variables, but if my plants reach 4ft with multiple colas and are healthy, then what yield would you expect?

Any advice/constructive criticism welcome. As is piss taking.

P.s names on pots are so I can identify them, not because I’m lonely

Right now id watch out for your nutes your plant seems to be developping nitrogen toxicity..

For your question on yield its very very hard to tell because there is so many variable but assuming a healthy plant with 400w LED which I assume arent that efficient (more details on the light itself could help) id say probably in the 150-300g

Yea I noticed the tip scorch but they were that way when I got them. Those photos are from a few days ago I’ll repost another in an hour or so. I’ll not feed for a few days now (even though the temptation is killing me)

Watering wise I need some advice. I fill a litre pot of water and use between all six when dry but now some pots are draining faster than others. I have the natural urge to water every evening when I check on them but I know it’s not the correct way. I think the medium they came in holds more water than soil so that appears damp whilst the surrounding soil dries quicker. Basically I kind of want a ball park idea of how much water a plant needs in these stages

I assume because they're boys names, which struck me as unusual if they were female plants but I don't name plants, I just grow them

I can’t find my exact one as I suspect it’s discontinued but this is exactly the same. Comes in at 6000k and 10k lumens

6000k is not the best spectrum for flower but should provide a good vegging light.. 10k lumens for each light so 10000lm/100w = 100lm/watt sounds very similar to hps.. so usually HPS light range between 0.5-1g/w so 200-400g but its yor first grow in a while and using only 6000k so its most likely on the lower end if you can get your hand on some 3000k light and maybe mix the spectrum especially during flower but they should still grow good.

Edit : new LED are in the 150lm/w+ (up to 200-220) which makes them much more efficient for the same power if ever you look to upgrade your light is look into the LED section of this forum

Thanks very much for your informative reply
Im just finding my feet so stuff like this is invaluable. I do have another corn light but due to neally going blind when I entered my grow I assumed it was enough with four. I’ll wire that in tomorrow and then have a look at getting some 3k. I know it’s a long shot but I’m looking for as large a harvest as I can for this run to help with the next. Thanks for the advice

Well either you put your other light or not id recommend always using sunglasses when in your grow room.. better be safe than sorry especially for something as valuable as eyes..

Ive reread your post and said your room was 1.7x1.7x1.2 so im assuming its in meters and not foot? 1.2m high is like 4 feet.. youll have some work to do to maintain your canopy very low as your girls will stretch when you flip to flower keep that in mind.. also 1.7x1.7 is like a 5x5foot tent so pretty big.. you wont achieve full potential with only 400w.. you can use more than 1000w for that type of space so yes id recommend putting the other light (you dont need it now.. veg requires less light) but when you switch put in as much light as you can and have on hand.. good luck! Keep us posted with your grow! Assuming you maintain good temp and RH% genetics and lights are the biggest factor for yield IMO..

Yes I’m in metres. I’d always assumed just flip when your height is where you want it but the last couple weeks of reading have said otherwise. I may veg till 3ft and then hope for the best or would you advise less. I have a wireless camera on my grow and it’s temp and rh gauge (which I think is a great idea as long as it’s secure) and I have been shitting it today thinking that I overwatered. Just checked though and all is good (although slightly too droopy for my liking). Just waiting on the fim to show and then hopefully repot. Just found the other lights I ripped out and will add tomorrow. My leds were originally old warehouse light and when they were converted to corn lights, all the ballast was ripped out and just has connector blocks in the housing. The other light is intact with the old bulb in so will try that. Pics tomorrow

sounds good.. and NO dont wait until they reach 3 feet before flip if your space has a 4feet height.. your light will need to be probably in the 12-24 inch(30-60cm) from the top.. so you probably want to flip at about 2 feet max hoping they dont stretch more than a feet and still have a 12 inch space but even then thats a long shot.. id highly suggest your train your plant so instead of growing vertically train them so they grow horizontally. It will also allow for more bud sites To have access to your light (called SCROG there is tons of article on internet or LST - low stress training) thats how you gonna get the most with the number of plant you have and your current lights.. putting a net can help you do that..

As for the camera yes its a good idea to keep an eye on them.. however make sure there is no little light on the camera itself as often cameras do have some little light.. that can become an issue if your plant receive light during dark period not much now during veg but will certainly impact during flower if thats the case. This tip also apply for your hunidifier, fans etc

Yea I’m planning a quick fim to start and then willl begin supercropping. In night vision the camera has tiny little IR lights. Do you think that will interfere? I know where your coming from but they are reallyyyyyyyy tiny

Yea that was my thought. I was thinking tomorrow but then I thought I was rushing. But I can see small white roots poking out of the bottom after only a few days but I guess it’s time

Yeah thats what I thought.. im not expert for that.. personally id try to avoid but if you really want to use it then I guess try to have it as far as possible to the least amount of light reach your plant.. i did a quick search online and getting only mix reviews some reporting hermie plant some saying its all good.. some say it depends on the wavelength of the IR.. watching your plant at night is not that helpful mind you must be fun tho lol.. if its only to monitor temps/humidity maybe just look at a wireless unit that you could put outside the room and able to monitor days and night while not maybe or maybe not affecting your plant
