I LOVE how CLEAR it is.
Im trying to go by their feed chart but its just way too strong to run like that in RDWC AT least for me in my environment.

Cause i pushed just about to tip burn and im at about half their feed strength atm

Next run i should be more dialed in

So far im a happey camper.

And after the second run ill start tweaking the feed to match whatever strain im working on

I did cut the feed down to
1.5 gr 420
1.5gr cal N
1.25 gr mag sul
And
.5 grams mpk

I will up another .5 gr mpk then start cutting the feed till flush time

Any hints?

Yes. Cut the mam sulfate down to 1.0g and lose the MKP. Use it maybe once or twice around week 3 and week 5. They just don't need that much P and the 4-20 mix has plenty.

Yup was thinking the same thing

Im going to drop the mag sul to 1 gr
And bump up the mpk to 1 gram for 1 week then im cutting it out and tapering down .

Do you think it will fuck with anything if i cut the calmag after i cut the mpk and just run the 4-20 and mag sul till finish?

I was hoping i would get a good bud swell with the mpk and they have it in the feed charts that i refer to......but at just half their recommend strength cause im in RDWC

Anybody know Anything about the “Three A Light” Book and if it’s Ever been or going to be Uploaded/PDF’d at all..? I’ve been searching everywhere and somebody has to have put up something or a Torrent of the “secret” pictures or something.. ?.? Hmmm blah

I would not cut out the calcium nitrate, the plant needs both.

Started reading this thread and was hoping I could get some info on the 4-20 mix.

Do you run the same formula minus the MPK for veg/flower and just play with PPM? @ttystikk What PPM or EC would you recommend for Veg / Flower (week)? From our past conversations, it looks like we're running about the same watts/sqft of COBs and I'm using RO water so I'm guessing I should add some extra mag sulfate and cal nitrate for the low ppm water? Any thoughts would be appreciated so I dont burn or underfeed my ladies going in this weekend. :)

In your situation I would run less mag sulfate (.75gr) and in fact I've found that feeding extra MKP to be unnecessary.

Try running about EC 1.5 and pH 6.0.

Nice thread, wish i found it a few months back as i've been growing with Masterblend 4-18-38 + calcium nitrate + epsom salt combo for years now in a drain to waste system with a big tank so it can be left alone, i see no ph swings in the tank even after 30 days, i do have a tiny pump in the tank that turns on every few hours for 10min of circulation, just to keep the nuts from falling out of solution.

works for me..

as far as i know chem grow and masterblend are identical fertilizers under different brands..

what are you planning on switching to?

Not quite decided on it
I was planning on doing a side by side of rdwc vs meniscus membrane nft.

But i have switched gears a little to where i want to run through some seeds to find mothers and males for chucks.

So at least one system will be built specifically to run seeds im still figuring out what i want
I want to be able to run seeds from 12/12 and be able to completely pull them (roots) from the system when they finish if they all dont have the same finish times.


The meniscus nft is something i was looking at replacing rdwc with as there are no water or air pumps needed (technically 1 water pump but not constant) but i wanted to see if the growth matched rdwc first.

As far as the chem gro and master blend i think they are made by the same people just slightly different formulas
