Pineapple Express 2 tents worth

Here we go. First grow ever.... I've got my first 4x4 tent up and going with Pineapple Express Fem Auto. I'm on Day 5 since sprouting in Jiffy pellets. They are in 3 gallon cloth pots/bags. I put the sprouted Jiffy pellets in on day 3 into the 3 gallon bags after carefully removing the mesh.

16 out of 19 seeds popped. I have 4 of 600w LEDS, 2 circulation fans in my 4x4 tent and a 6" vent fan sucking air out of the top. I have a second 6" fan that I'll blow fresh air into the bottom if need be. I run the 6" fan 20 minutes every 2 1/2 hours.

EDIT... I'm running 4 of the 600w LED Blurple lights in my 4x4 tent now.

I'm using FoxFarms Ocean Forest amended w/ 25% additional perlite so I won't be drowning my girls. 2 Exhale CO2 bags in the tent. CO2 runs from 650 to 1100 . 53% RH. Temps stay 81 - 87 with lights on. keeping lights 18" away from top of seedlings now. Looks like water is lasting 2 days. I'm wanting to let the soil just get dry before I water again. I've kept them slightly moist since sprouting in Jiffy pellets.

I have a window unit AC in the room in addition to central AC in the house. I'll run the central AC from 73 at night to 78 during the day. The room AC I'll run at 75.

ANY observations, warnings or even words that say I'm doing something right would be appreciated

Next question is, should I run both the veg and bloom settings since I'm growing an Autoflower strain? Here's the lights I have. 4 600w lights in a 4x4 tent

More then likely them lights arent pulling 600watts. Youll yield something but if you want to get decent yields id buy a proper light.

So, should I put 4 of the 600s in?

Technically yes if you want more bud size all over your canopy .. 4 of those probably just come shy of a 1000w hps which would be a good size lamp for a 4x4

On a side note next grow you should look into much more efficient LED than blurple light - look at the LED section of this forum

OK... Just ordered 4 panels - 304pcs Samsung 3500k 561C bin Diodes w/ double heatsink and 2 MEAN WELL HLG-240H-C2100B 2100mA 59~119V 250W LED Drivers for my second tent. Should be plenty of light and run more efficient

Well done you wont regret it! So youll be using 520w vs your friend at 1000w or so and yield about the same (other factors to consider too) but sounds pretty amazing to me good luck with your grow and keep in mind those white LED will require a bit more cal-mag than other lights so just make sure you plan for that !

Subbed up to this journal. I had the Mars blurple 700w. Pretty useless tbh but bought a Gavita 6/750. Much better now tho and excited to get it going

Day 9.. Battling heat w/ all 4 of the 600W Blurple lights. It got up to 90 so I'm running the 6" exhaust fan to dump heat constantly. Now running 83.6 degrees. Plants look good. No added nutes so far. I have 16 plants going in 1 4x4 tent. I figure I'll need to move 1/2 to my second tent when my new light setup comes in. I'm hoping by growing all the same flavor ( pineapple express ) I can pack them in a little tighter and keep the lower stuff cleared out.

Also the picture seems blue so I think youre using only the veg setting on your light Irecommend using both veg and bloom at the same time for the full duration of the grow..it will help you manage the heat.. they like humidity at this stage so try to get humidity in there especially at high temp

On your 304 LED setup. That works for both Veg & Bloom too? I bought 3500k I read that "should" work fine for Autoflower grows.

On my setup, I should go w/ both from seedlings to harvest ?

Yes I have 3000k and used it for veg and flower so your 3500k can certainly do both.. started with only 2 boards for few days/ weeks cant remember.. but I had only 7 girls you have 16 lol.. and then put all 4 boards in action.. but started at like 48inches early on and as they got bigger reduce to 36-40inches once again that from my memory.. but if you have a potentiometer on your driver you could just put them closer to your girl right away and reduce the power on them..

Its not stupid and you can surely grow 16 plants in your 4x4 look up for SOG.. if you do dont wait until they get too big before flipping to flower or else youll end with a jungle.. it will require no training and youll get a big colas on top.. at the same time if you have a second tent and nothing in it might as well split your grow and get double the yield it will just require a bit more training (LST, topping/fimming) and longer veg to fill your canopy properly..

Oh yes sorry about that got out of my mind for a minute.. you are better off to put them in separate tent since you cant control when they will start flowering and most likely it will be way too crowded in there with 16 plants auto.. with photo you can decide when to switch to flower so you can go earlier than an auto plant.. but ive never grown auto but ive seen some auto getting pretty big

Not to get all youtube up in here, but subscribed. I like your attitude. Knowledgeable but not above advice I like it a lot. I wish I had something to offer other than that but I don't know much about the LED side. I'm running FFOF with 25% perlite as well, and I keep my house AC the same as yours and I have a window unit for the grow tent room - 5x5. I'm running 1000watt HID though seems to be the main difference

Any reason why you only run the intake edit *outtake* every 2.5 hours for 20 minutes? Do you find that helps your temps? I keep my 4inch intake at max and 6 inch outtake at around 60% 24/7. Having humidity issues at lights off though even though the "lung" room is around 50%.

Im using Exhale bags for CO2 so I figure if I want decent CO2, running the fan 24 / 7 would suck out the CO2. My RH is in the 40s now so.. if I run fan alot, I'll drop that too. I figure when I get my new lights ( 304 Samsung 500w LED setup ) I'll lower heat considerably

Viceman666, On your 304 setup w/ the 4 304s and using 2 of the MEAN WELL HLG-240H-C2100B. How far above the plants did you keep the lights? Seedling, Veg & Flower

AND..

Did you run 100% on the lights? I'm not wanting to smoke my new boards by turning it up too high
