i stay in the darkness because that's what i see...when i see some sunshine, i'll be happy to go sit in it a while.
people treat other like shit. the people who are supposed to be watching out for us are all in someones pocket. the people who give us jobs destroy the world while they're giving us those jobs, because they'd make less money if they did it right. the people who are supposed to be feeding us are busy trying to copyright food. the people who are supposed to be curing us are busy trying to get rich off of our illness.
the people who are supposed to be teaching us are busy pushing their personal agendas. the people who are supposed to be protecting us are killing us.
so yeah, i live in a dark place, and so do you....you just have rose colored glasses on

North Korea has announced they have no interest in meeting with Trump if it's going to be a one sided negotiation about them surrendering their nuclear weapons.

Kim is playing us like a violin.

He's showing all the people in North Korea that he wields incredible power on the world stage now to guarantee their loyalty to the state...his state.

The beginning of the article:

All politicians are venal and corrupt, so supporting one over the other is pointless.

The media always lies; never believe anything you hear on the news.

Putin has infiltrated social media so thoroughly that if someone disagrees with you online, it's probably a Russian bot.

Trump and congressional Republicans are willing to pass unpopular legislation because they are planning a coup. (There will be no elections in 2020.)

The game is rigged, the plots are laid, and there's nothing that people like you and me can do except lean back and nod sagely as the black helicopters land.

If you spend any time online — or offline, for that matter — you've heard arguments like this. They are the result of a force more insidious than pessimism. It's naive cynicism: a wide-eyed, credulous, often gleeful embrace of despair, an eagerness to believe the worst.

If you spend any time online — or offline, for that matter — you've heard arguments like this. They are the result of a force more insidious than pessimism. It's naive cynicism: a wide-eyed, credulous, often gleeful embrace of despair, an eagerness to believe the worst.

At its most extreme, naive cynicism leads to conspiracy theories. Lyndon Johnson had to be involved in the plot to kill JFK; the American government arranged for 9/11; the Jews control world finance. In short, the truth is much worse than you could ever imagine.

The closing statements of the article:

But we shouldn't confuse despair with wisdom. Sustained, coordinated organizing prevented the Republicans from doing their worst to Obamacare. Roy Moore, a bigot and accused child abuser, was defeated in deeply red Alabama — a virtual political miracle. Brave women and sustained media investigations have together managed to put a dent in the impunity enjoyed by some powerful men.

Naive cynicism would tell you that Harvey Weinstein and Roy Moore would never be held accountable in any way, but they both were.

People can change the world for the better — not always, but sometimes. Naive cynics close their eyes to this possibility. They accept defeat so that they can pat themselves on the back for being right when they are defeated. That doesn't make them wise. It makes them rubes.

But,but, but he's the master of the deal lol.
Well let's see they haven't met Korea has given us 3 hostage's and destroyed their testing facility or what's left of it and we have given them nothing. Even if trump walks right away we're still ahead seems like a pretty good deal to me.

LOL

Trump was punked by Kim Jong Un. Trump only made hostage taking more likely by acceding to NK's demands for a 1:1.

So, let me see how this worked

North Korea kidnaps 3 people, two of those crimes done on Trump's watch.
North Korea completes its testing program for both nukes and missiles
North Korea builds the bombs it needs to assure US won't invade.
After that is done, THEN they open negotiations to relieve economic sanctions
North Korea uses people as bargaining chip to get US to agree to have Trump legitimize Kim Jong Un as a world leader by meeting with him
North Korea agrees to demolish an already demolished test site.
Trump happy, finally he can put something good that he did next to his name. Idiot Right Wingers talk about Nobel peace prize!!!!!!
North Korea pulls football away from Charlie Trump Brown just before he kicks it. Charlie Trump Brown lands on back, looks foolish.

But hey, those US citizens that North Korea kidnapped were released. I'm not complaining either.

What's next:

Trump WILL meet with Kim Jong Un because Trump needs to save face.
They talk, Trump comes away saying he got his Nuke deal
North Korea stalls, Trump blusters, North Korea stalls, Trump blusters, wash, rinse repeat.
More US citizens are kidnapped.

North Korea will use those people as bargaining chips.

They will never give up nuclear arms. Not in any foreseeable future.
