I sorry Jack I've been working long hours and then I went to visit the grandkids , so I don't have enough spare time. But I promise to keep up as much fuckery as possible.
On a side note was at the beach the other day when a topless twenty something came running by. Not sure what the deal was but it was cool.

I used to have my grandfather's verniers, early '40s Brown and Sharpe, in a felt lined wood case and all the original paperwork. He got it as a gift when he graduated college for mechanical engineering. I got it when he passed away. It had a little clip on parabolic flip down magnifying glass that he added sometimes in the 60s that made it SOOO much easier to read. I didn't use it often, even though it still calibrated fine every year. I used to like handing it to whatever new manager I had whenever they wanted to check my work, watch them sweat.
Some asshole stole it at the last place I worked. I still have his mid '40s, leather bound machinist handbook and some older Starret mics. The machinist handbook has a bunch of old info that's not in the newer editions, there's even a whole section devoted to rebuilding flathead Ford's.

The playground down the road still has most of those things, my daughter's favorite park. We had a ropes course at our high school but they ripped that out right after I graduated.
