Now I'm doubly interested to know the answers to the same 2 questions.Coverage on my light is a bit different than a 550. All of my boards are in one straight line instead of a quad pattern

A 550 vegs a 5x5 and flowers a 4x4. Its that simpleNow I'm doubly interested to know the answers to the same 2 questions.
First growIf this is about the qb288, I love mine!!! I don't know if I could have gotten this with my cfls, it was too hot in the tent, even with 4 fans in there... View attachment 4148995 View attachment 4148996
I can definitely say that the qb288 135w v2 was the best thing for me to come across as a new grower!!! Now I feel like my light search (not searchlight) is over!!! And the whole process of adding more lights is waaaayyy easier, for sure!!! I love it, and the girls definitely do!!!First grow
Personally I think that's on the light side, pun intended. In my humble opinion, you really was 4 boards for every 4x4 of space.Do you guys/gals think two triple slate kits(6 288 boards) would do a 4x8 any justice?

U think 2 hlg 550 in a 4x4 space, or have I missed something lol8 boards

No I don’t think you’ll notice any difference. I have the old cxb3590s cb bin which a looong time ago was the top bin lmao . I have 12 of those at 600w and two of the hlg600h kits and they are pretty well the same except the cobs have a better spread then the 600s just due to the fact their spread out more. I wouldn’t be investing more money for that little of an increase. Not a smart investment imo. Get some co2 with the cash instead and run the shit outta them dirty girls.Would it be worth to upgrade from cxb 3590's?
cxb 3590@1400 has 2.41 µmol/J
the QB288v2 2.47 µmol/J.
They seem equal to me but I might be missing something?

The top one because you get more light on the plants, but that's just my opinion... As a matter of fact that is what im about to do... I already have one, I just need another one...Can I get some advice on which light setup you guys at HLG would reccomend for a 2x4 tent, start to finish?
(2) Qb288 v2 3000k 135w kits

What distance apart are your COBS on fixture and height over canopy ? 3000k 80 CRI ?No I don’t think you’ll notice any difference. If you can afford it, I see no reason not to go for the 320w kit. You can always run it dimmed, but if you ever need the extra juice, it'll be there.I guess my thought boiled down is
-Two 135w kits give you dimming and height options for different strains.
-a 260w xl kit is 15w less and has a much larger heatsink for more temp stability.
- and a 320w xl kit runs a more even spread with more longevity on the boards.
I know I want to do a 3-4 plant scrog.
my indecisiveness is killing me.
