I’ve been doing my own breeding as far as producing my own fem seeds but wanted to play around a bit more and wanted to incorporate a old school mexi brick landrace
Thats really cool!
Ive always seeded my own plants as well.
Part of the fun for me.
Satisfaction like no other when the seeds are your own, and you're ripping a mad cone.
Just cant beat it.
Like you. Ill always be seeding my own too.

Happy breeding OP.

It is the best post I have seen all week. Who wasn't laughing ?

Hybrids are king but I will reserve judgement. I am growing the first F1 cross I ever had seeds for. Malawi X Panama in a 10 gallon pot (70% happy frog 20% ocean forest and 10% growstones roughly). :D
I grew Nirvana's now discontinued "eldorado", which was a Mexican sativa from Oaxaca. Malawi and Panama from Ace seeds (your current hybrid), and both are stellar, if you have enough room for them, the Malawi is one of my top 5 favorite smokes. Both Malawi and Panama standard, are excellent sativa landraces.

Bodhi has done some work preserving land race genetics he found in various regions on his trips. Nierika Seed Trust, Landrace and Heirlooms. I received Columbian Gold and an Oaxacan...couple others but I cant recall the names.

Snow High is another one I've read good things about.
I'd kinda like to have their Congolese Red

There's a couple of members on here that are die hard land race seekers/growers. Maybe one of them will catch this thread and chime in.

I’m glad you mentioned the Malawi. I really want to try that.

What are the other 4 favorites if you don’t mind me asking?

I prefer the southern African landraces. Things like Sawzi, Pondo, DP etc.
I have like a bazillion seeds.

I had kept some from about 15yrs ago, a friend of mine had brought a bag over from Chicago. I hadn't seen any brickweed in years at that point. Sadly none of the seeds would pop when I tried to germinate. My guess it they would be quite hermi and useless anyhow.

Snowhigh is not active but if he comes around again, get his Michoacan and Acapulco Gold seeds. I had the Michoacan back in the 70's so I know about that one and his seeds are a match. The Acapulco Gold I have no idea but my plants are heirlooms and some special phenos to be found.

At CBG Sinaloa has the Jarilla which is a legit old sativa from Mexico. I ran it. He has two more coming soon, one a hybrid and the other sativa.

I have a few hundred seeds out of brick weed. Usually get germd in a plastic bag and tossed out the window going down the road in early spring, a few make it to forests, bags of soil in walmart, wherever else I think they may look nice. A friend has them now but if you wanna search em I can get them your way. Shit I was buying was usually fresh cut from the brick.

For a sativa leaning hybrid that produces very well i recommend ch9 Blue Lemon Thai.

It has great classic plants in the genetics including original ESCD and Lemon Thai.
I've got a few old seeds put aside for the breeding tent this year. Some I found with my old pipe from high school in a box. The others I've had for a super long time I plucked out of some Thai back in the day. I don't have many so I'm hoping for the best. I have a gazillion of the scwagg seeds. I found my pipe in a bag of shake filled with seeds. I also have some mango seeds. The bud was straight kill. I've only got like four though....again fingers crossed. I'll be trying to pop them late august. Then hope for boys and girls to play. My biggest mission is to get my hands on the SSH cut I had 2 years back.....OMG it was wild man. Got it from my clone supplier down south. He said he can get it for me next month again no prob.....again fingers crossed lol
