Bro, he is not going to understand that lmao. Maybe if you did an example with it.
Yeah I didn’t understand it but I honestly don’t care, atleast not right at the moment lol

Oh and I ordered 20 strips with a 600h 42b, I’ll get a pot later and I’ll head to my local metal supplier as soon as the strips get in!

I went all 3500k just kept it simple, I was considering something more module, but honestly I’d just rather go simple, I’ll add on later if I need to :)

I did add an example too.

Besides, like I said, my bewilderment is why in general forum members keep using such an archaic metric when a perfectly fine industry wide metric is available.

Not my intention to make such a big deal about it, but it truly does not make sense to me :)

WTF.... 26X$28........$728 for those stRips??
Well depending on where he got them. There is usually a price break at 10 or 25. And arrow can be a bit cheaper than digikey. So I was just going with digikey 28$ for 1.
They are 17.22$ on arrow, but an 8 week lead time.

But at 1120 mA they're 9,000 lumens, and 50watts. So 25 of them would be like 1250watts right?!

600w, using an hlg-600h-48b
But I was just showing how they can support themselves.
But you could easily just use 8-10 of them , heatsinked, at like 1400MA for 65w a piece and get 520-650 right? Whether thats through 2 hlg-320's or the hlg600?

You reply so quick Man, haha. Respect.

Hlg600-48a with 9 would give you almost exactly 1400MA. That's a pretty cheap build right there... If you can get em for $18 on arrow.

Yea you definitely could. But hes going for efficiency and spread over lower build cost. The penetration and efficacy of the light is extremely good. The thread says 1250 ppfd everywhere in the tent

Arrows software is a bit misleading on the price of out of stock items. It will display the lowest bulk discount price, which for the Samsung strips is considerably less than the single piece price. Their prices actually follow Digikey's prices pretty closely, by maybe half a buck.

Actually before I ordered on digi key I got a quote on arrow and they stayed the same for the 44"ersi just don't like the 2 months lead time lol.

Maybe they even misquoted me after requesting only 6 of the double rows?

I'm under 440$ in for 20 44" eb2's and my driver to go along with it... I might need something like an additional to finish $100 and I'm still under $1/w (hopefully finished)

The 6 vero29 C setup that I was fully prepared to order was going to come out to 530$ and the Samsung strips would've been a little over $550 (I bet if you remove heat sinks from the price and go with c channel your save another 60 bucks)

has anyone experimented with a full coverage on the sides? I’m using a scrog so literally no use for me but just thought it’d be a cool idea
