Maybe you could answer one thing for me.
Suppose at the end of week8, i have 10% clear, 20% amber and 70% cloudy trichomes, (thats we usually look for). I need to know how in how many weeks this ratio can change to 60 to 70% amber?
Thanks
You can’t know unless you run the same plant a few times. Every seed run can be different. Every grow can have variables. There is no firm answer.
I wait until plants are truly finished. You can see the white pisils receded and the calyx swell.
I don’t even look at trichomes until the plant looks done. Also only on the bud. Not the trichs on bud leaves.
Waves of new trichomes can develop even in the last week.
And I Grow sativa leaning hybrids. Some plants never really go cloudy and some have transparent colored trichomes. Amber, purple even red and blue.
Most modern hybrids go cloudy like you said though so it’s still a good meter usually.
Also if by Amber you mean browning and degraded that means the thc in them has broken down and is weakening.
Clear and bulbous and tall is peak thc. We wait till cloudy to make sure the whole plant is as ripe.
As close to 100% cloudy is the most potent plant in my experience.
