Took a look at Fred at 20" hoping my plant was similar but no Fred looks way better.

Might as well entertain the troops with two skinny naked ladies while waiting for results.

21 Days since my last update.
Day 54 from peeking out of the soil.
No-till on the left.
Slow growth, some deficiencies, just cruising along, not giving them much attention, top dressed twice since the start.
I still have about 40 days to go so it might pack on some weight IDK.
The no till took a fall. landed nicely on it's side and the damage was minor, maybe one big leaf was lost.

Or a gallon auto? Either sound great, but they would require me to build a bigger light to accomodate a (hopefully) bigger plant. A bigger birdcage... hmmmm.
 
Yeah, instead of immediately 12/12, it'd be fun to do a week veg and flip or something along those lines. Still limit the amount of time in veg but I have a suspicion that even one full veg week will increase average yields by 25-30%.

If no one's interested, maybe we could try a half gallon, half month (14 days) veg contest. Although 12/12 from seed was really fun to watch.
 
I think it would be really hard to verify people's veg time. i.e., it would be a little too easy for people to veg an extra week, etc. I really like the 12/12 from seed because it is simple, it's a relatively short grow duration, and it doesn't take up too much room. Just imagine the monsters these guys could grow with a hydro, half gallon, 2 week veg!

I'm for whatever the game is next comp.
I like the 12/12 but like you said it can't be verified as easily.
Not the next comp if auto's as suggested but maybe a future comp with regular or feminized seeds everyone can use whatever light schedule they want up to week 5 then everybody flips on week 5. Just a thought.

I've never grown auto's either. I'll be shopping also. Great way to force me to grow an auto.
I just leave it in my veg tent right?

That's what I do. I only veg a few at a time in my veg area. I have extra space so I'll grow one or two autos in there at a time in one gallon grow bags.

Lol. It's why I suggested a one gallon auto grow off.

In the solo cup comp about 30% made it to harvest. 20% in the past comps I think.
What % of competitors would harvest in a 1 gallon comp?
50+%?
 
Last grow in the comp I had N tox and was hovering over my plants everyday.
This practice grow I just harvested 2 plants that were given little attention. I had them off to the side under low light and had higher summer temps in the room.
They were only fed a few times and had deficiencies.
Wet weight is 1.4 oz and will probably end up around 7 or 8 grams of fluffy buds when dry.

Hey, has anyone received any prize from this contest? I had hoped to get some seeds from the last contest for the next, but haven't heard from @whitebb2727 for several months. I just need to figure out if I need to order some seeds.
