I'm scared it'll taste like plastic or something when it's done :/ It looks so shiny and fake! Is it really okay?

:leaf:

looks good to me, keep up the good work!
are you kidding? they look like plastic... that's NOT normal looking! though, they did appear to have good hairs and crystals growing..

and why did nobody respond to this guy ever again? he was just given misinformation and then ignored when he questioned it... you may as well have just lied to him and told him to f-off! I find that quite distasteful.

See, now I have heard that shiny plants are good always, but then all my Mj plants look dull and people seem to think it is just a dull plant...every once in awhile I will see one that is shiny and I think they are beautiful, and it looks like it is growing well and what not...I don't see any leaves clawing or curling...no burnt tips or anything...I am pretty sure it isn't supposed to be a shiny plant...but maybe it just happens sometimes...

Hmmm...I have heard some people say it can happen due to heat stress and too much nitrogen...but I have rarely seen too much N cause anything that looks nice...lol. I could see the heat stress thing...so what are your temps..

lol i didnt realize it was a 2010 thread, i was looking for views on the opposite, my plants are healthy but the green is tern and zero shades of gloss, is that also standard ?

Every 2 years or so we'll respond to @cylee89

N Tox ..... it gives you deep green color , shiny waxy leaves .

You should be on a bloom ( low N ) feed by now ..... she will not need as much NITROGEN since branching will slow and she goes into full flower mode.

Bingo. We have a winner. Too much nitro. The dark color and twisty leaves. Just shy of tips burnt.
