but then it says

so if it is 600W, and offers equivalent performance to HPS, wouldnt "cost effective" make it $200 as opposed to $1400?

I dont think they're burple. More like extreme low & high Kelvin combo.
I'm willing to bet it grows good having more of what white lacks but it would be better using 1/3 true white mixed in I think. Expensive & better options for the price but that's besides the point. Good luck OP, I'm Interested to see if you like it.

The manufacturer says this. And here is a quote.
" I have proven that this new LED light technology is at equivalent to HPS/MH lighting, often times surpassing it, but with all of the benefits that LED lights provide."
I cant seem to find it on his page anymore but he also mentioned that it is the #1 grow light in the world, which I really find hard to believe when nobody has tested it yet.
