businesses that are refusing service to gays yet not getting shut down by clients who refuse to patronize bigots.

2-4% of the population is gay or lesbian or "other" so there isn't a huge support base built in, most people really don't care that some guy didn't get that person to make a cake for them or let them get married on their own property.

In order to have a free country you have to realize that not everyone is going to act as you want them to, but that's ok because we should all be big enough to just move on and not attempt to force someone into serving us. You won't get good service and most likely they spat in your cake. Or worse.

Racism on the other hand is almost seen as immoral in this country, there are a few holdouts I am sure, but most "racism" is just cultural issues, stereotypes, or bigotry. I don't actually see any racism all around me like you do.

although most any business owner would not call that "making" them serve them or "enslaving" them, they look at that as what butters their bread and pays their mortgage and they do it willingly.

I saw two women buy over $500 of meat at a store with food stamps. Curious, I followed them to a church, where they were selling barbeque from a stand set up in the parking lot. They have been running that stand every Friday and Saturday for at least a year, so they must have permission from the church. No one is allowed to get $2000 a month in food stamps, so they must be trafficking in food stamps. This also may be a direct subsidy of a church by the Federal government. The advent of EBT cards terminated the "business". On a side note, that particular store, a Winn-Dixie, was closed and abandoned due to extremely high theft rates. They had over $80,000 in shopping carts stolen alone.
