I've never used wood ash and pee in a tea, but I do make homemade ferts with them. Every time I have a fire at my camp, I mix the {hardwood} ashes with pee the next morning. You stir in the pee until it is a thick paste, then cover and let dry a month or so. I add Epson Salts and other little odds and ends to it before use. I've used it on my peach trees, but haven't tried it on my weed yet.Started mid June and tea consist of
2 cups urine
2 cups wood Ashe
1/4 cup Epsom salt
Compost
Steeped three days.
I've had it both ways. I ran three of my Possum Shunk 1.5's this year, and they all three were male. Also had all girls too. Unless you pop large numbers, this is possible.Something weird happened this grow. I didn't mention in the thread that I also grew three superskunk unfeminized .I used tea to give plants a stress free transition to preflower ( as I consider this the most important factor in a plants lifecycle).all three went female .Did they accidentally give me feminized or did I get the luck of the draw? Did the tea help enough with transition to produce more females? I will def experiment next year with this .My experience with growing unfeminized is it's a freaking sausage fest .makes sense though with indoors as they never actually get the right light .close but not perfect .so I think they are always stressed in some way .are seeds unisex and the stress of the environment determine the amount of breeding that needs to happen? You would think I would get at least one male.
Tie the corners in knots, then tied them to good sized trees or bushes. Water is heavy as hell, so you need to make sure it's supported.Man!! I like that. Gonna Barrow your idea if you don't mind. Getting alot of rain next week and I could use that.
You will get the rain that falls directly on it. If you get an inch or rain, it's an inch deep in the rain catcher. I'm getting several inches a week, so don't need all of that, much less the collector.Does the tank make for a good rain catcher?
I've been using yarrow, dill, basil, mint and chamomile for the last year. The yarrow just makes the plants glow and chamomile (smells nice) is alleged to trigger increased terp production in other plants. I actually think those 2 do a better plant RX than kelp solution..thats like liquid sunshine.Any suggestions on how often to water with tea? And what basic teas to make for microbe growth .it really seems to help.thanks
You can set up 4 logs or in a depression/ ditch to support the sides and keep it hidden. Once the leaves and scum gets on the bottom, it's going to be invisible, just a random puddle in the woods. A trail cam would prob get some nice wildlife shots.I use a good, heavy duty tarp for the tank, and a cheap one for the collector. This is what the tank looks like. I had too much rain and had to take down the collector.
My veg buddy sets his up in a depression, and loads it with leaves. You can't hardly see it. I've got some fruit trees close by, so I use some of the water for them. If anyone asks, it's for the peach trees. You can set up 4 logs or in a depression/ ditch to support the sides and keep it hidden.
