Good job man! Got any other pictures? What did you decide for feeding? What latitude are you?

Going to get more pics today. Those are a few days old now . Takes a min to upload on here for some reason. I grow near St Louis mo. I'm about to use ff bloom nutes but I kinda hesitate because of their health. I'm new to teas and organics but the plants are not it seems. I'm torn, I know ff nutes really well but this natural organic way (which I call advanced feeding) is better, I just don't know it as well.

Started mid June and tea consist of

2 cups urine
2 cups wood Ashe
1/4 cup Epsom salt
Compost
Steeped three days.
I've never used wood ash and pee in a tea, but I do make homemade ferts with them. Every time I have a fire at my camp, I mix the {hardwood} ashes with pee the next morning. You stir in the pee until it is a thick paste, then cover and let dry a month or so. I add Epson Salts and other little odds and ends to it before use. I've used it on my peach trees, but haven't tried it on my weed yet.

I have made teas from mushroom compost for my plants. I use about half a gallon in a 35 gallon trash can.

Something weird happened this grow. I didn't mention in the thread that I also grew three superskunk unfeminized .I used tea to give plants a stress free transition to preflower ( as I consider this the most important factor in a plants lifecycle).all three went female .Did they accidentally give me feminized or did I get the luck of the draw? Did the tea help enough with transition to produce more females? I will def experiment next year with this .My experience with growing unfeminized is it's a freaking sausage fest .makes sense though with indoors as they never actually get the right light .close but not perfect .so I think they are always stressed in some way .are seeds unisex and the stress of the environment determine the amount of breeding that needs to happen? You would think I would get at least one male.

I've had it both ways. I ran three of my Possum Shunk 1.5's this year, and they all three were male. Also had all girls too. Unless you pop large numbers, this is possible.

I don't think the tea had anything to do with it. Once the plants are sexually mature at 4-6 weeks, they are either male or female. I have heard {from Sub Cool of You Tube fame} that high temps at germination will make more males. I have tested this with hot hose water for my seed trays, and did get a lot of males.

I like that. I want to make a raised rain catcher/gravity flow system. I bought a metal trashcan and a water spigot to go in the bottom. Haven't rigged it up yet.

I use tarps to make rain catchers now, but you have to dip it out and carry with buckets. {I'm in the bush}

I actually wanna make a small rain catcher for that. Also I just drilled holes in the hose. I found out that drippers are very cheap and alot more effective.def gonna change it up next season .

Also I use Google maps and follow creeks where I want to grow. Then I switch to Google Earth and check out picked out spots from maps. From Earth I can I get road views from the ground of surrounding areas. I pick out three and scout with my phantom 4 drone. Then I pick one from that and go scout in person. Works great.

Man!! I like that. Gonna Barrow your idea if you don't mind. Getting alot of rain next week and I could use that.
Tie the corners in knots, then tied them to good sized trees or bushes. Water is heavy as hell, so you need to make sure it's supported.

Does the tank make for a good rain catcher?
You will get the rain that falls directly on it. If you get an inch or rain, it's an inch deep in the rain catcher. I'm getting several inches a week, so don't need all of that, much less the collector.

But I always use a smaller tarp for the collector. Say if your tank tarp is 8x10, 6X8 will be more than enough for a collector.

Any suggestions on how often to water with tea? And what basic teas to make for microbe growth .it really seems to help.thanks
I've been using yarrow, dill, basil, mint and chamomile for the last year. The yarrow just makes the plants glow and chamomile (smells nice) is alleged to trigger increased terp production in other plants. I actually think those 2 do a better plant RX than kelp solution..thats like liquid sunshine.

The others are loaded with terp building blocks for the plants. I swear they vibrate a bit and glow after the yarrow, but that's just the drugs or wind, I'm sure.
This is the last of of the yarrow and chamomile for this year, and now the borage (comfrey) and lemon balm are grown out, I'm using them.
They should come back next year, I've got a bunch of shoots going and started a couple spots in the field where I may plant next year. I want to get this near the plants, then seep it in buckets near the grows.
Deer and bugs despise those plants, anything with fuzzy leaves. The borage leaves can be used for mulch ,as well.

I run this thru a juicing blender to a frothy foam, to 20 gal water, EWC, molasses, and guano if needed.
Bubble for 18-36 hrs depending on temp and EWC content
Indoors, I grew them as companion plants, the leftover slurry was being dropped down a PVC pipe drilled with holes to a voracious nightcrawler, he just lived in the pipe and ate all the leftover stems and bits.

I use a good, heavy duty tarp for the tank, and a cheap one for the collector. This is what the tank looks like. I had too much rain and had to take down the collector.
You can set up 4 logs or in a depression/ ditch to support the sides and keep it hidden. Once the leaves and scum gets on the bottom, it's going to be invisible, just a random puddle in the woods. A trail cam would prob get some nice wildlife shots.

My veg buddy sets his up in a depression, and loads it with leaves. You can't hardly see it. I've got some fruit trees close by, so I use some of the water for them. If anyone asks, it's for the peach trees.
