did you link something?

speaking of Los Alamos, I went thru there a few months ago on the long way to Santa Fe. One of the weirdest vibes of any town I've ever visited. Almost felt like outsiders were being watched. Beautiful city though.
maybe it's the towns history? there was a point in time, not that long ago, that outsiders WERE watched, and possibly detained and questioned

i lived in Los Alamos county for about 3 years during my high school years. lots of fun to be had there if you like the outdoors. hiking, skiing, backpacking, cliff jumping, etc... town shut down pretty early back then. we usually drove up in the mountains, backed up all of our cars in the woods, started a fire and commenced to drink and smoke bongsmilie

cool! so i guess you've been to bandelier monument? that looked really cool, might need to take the family back.

i was taking the long way from here to santa fe and my gps kept sending me on the road thru los alamos lab where you have to go thru security check. i had a fat sack and a vaporizer with me and had to go back out the long way to White Rock and then around and down to Jemez Springs.

bandelier is cool.

if you are going to be there, drive by and check out valley grande(valle caldera)

the skiing there is good if you are ever there in the winter. at one point pajarito mountain, as it is called was ranked 2nd in the state to Taos. But it is just a local ski mountain, not a resort.

glad you avoided the feds at the lab, lol... actually the labs are all over the place. i actually lived in white rock, but we went to school and partied in and around los alamos.

pajarito > angelfire IMO, at least when it comes to quality of skiing...

the flag of the united states of america is a fascist symbol?......

i realize it's fox news, so i'm waiting to see what happens, if any one else covers it. pretty militaristic behaviour from a bunch of non trained, non violent protesters who are happy to just disrupt things....like this guys brain
Remember when nazis plowed into a crowd of innocent Americans, injuring dozens and killing heather heyer, and you said nothing?

You are defending the wrong hill here. When in a battle, be sure you aren't wearing the enemy's regalia. Maybe the man should have just let them have the flag? Why was he causing a disturbance behind the lines? Is his story factual? Fox isn't exactly known for careful fact checking before publishing a story that makes the other side look bad. But this all completely misses the point. Antifa is not to blame for the violence that day.

The only reason there was violence on the streets of Portland that day was because Patriot's Prayer came down from Washington along with hundreds of neo-Nazi militants from across the country under the banner of Proud Boys. Not condoning what happened. Just saying the root cause of any violence that day was because outsiders converged on Portland with the intent of creating mayhem. Their demonstration was not under a permit by the way. The police should have rousted the fascists much sooner but didn't or this all would never have happened.

Anybody who broke the law should be held to account, antifa or not. Still, the real reason any violence occurred is entirely due to actions by neo-Nazis.

thats why i said i'm still waiting to see who else reports on it. i don't take fox news' word for much.
how is antifa not responsible for trying to take the guys flag, which is a symbol of freedom, not fascism, to many people, then getting hit from behind with a weapon? not only are they responsible, they're cowards. (if the story is accurate)
antifa members made bad choices, antifa members did bad things. antifa members are responsible for their actions, just like everyone else is. if the story is accurate, they are in the wrong, plain and simple. indefensibly.

But antifa made him mad. They should have been handing him flowers and kisses by pretty women. It's all because antifa defied the neo-Nazis and forced the police to end their demonstration. This was totally wrong of them to do because as everybody knows, standing up to them just makes them stronger and more determined, you know. It's all the neoliberal Democratic party establishment's fault somehow.

antifa didn't make him mad. he was there to support antifa. they turned on him,(at least 4 of them, but not one single person stepped in to stop anything, until local medics took him to the hospital) he resisted, and was beaten. wouldn't you resist in the same situation?
this has NOTHING to do with the police, or the neonazi protestors, this was someone trying to support antifa, some of the more militant members didn't like his symbol of freedom, decided it was a symbol of fascism (which is a disturbing thing, in itself) and demanded he give it to them. i would have given it to them, alright. then they knocked him down from behind...then hit him while he was down, disoriented....how can you defend that?

First, I reject the propaganda you posted. You are asking me to argue with you over a point that was probably stretched to the limit.

Second, why would anybody who is sympathetic to the cause of stopping neo-Nazis from marching in our streets cause a disturbance behind the lines? If it were me, I wouldn't have done that. Why did he?

Thirdly, we only have his description of the event. We don't really know what was said and requested he do by antifa.

I wasn't there so I can't comment directly on what happened. I can say that those
demonstrations are confusing. I can see how waving the flag which is at the moment being used as a symbol to support white power would cause concern that a troublemaker is seeded behind the backs of people who are quite literally putting their lives on the line. Spears used to stab in the back are a bitch.

edit: You should go back and look at my post to Buck. I was referring to the car murderer in Charlottesville when I said "but they made him mad", not the idiot who thought he was making a point when all he was doing was making the people who were facing armed neo-nazi thugs extremely worried about their rear.
