Republican crime wave

The Canadian health care system is very good. People will bitch and complain about anything but I can honestly say they were there when I needed them.
We (my wife and I) pay $1,490.00 per month for our health care insurance. That's nearly $18,000.00 per year.

On top of that, we have a $2,500.00 deductible. That means we have to pay $2,500 towards our medical costs BEFORE the insurance even starts to work.

On top of that, it's a $35.00 copay for our family physician any time we see him, and a $70.00 copay for specialists should we need to see one of them.

So far this year, I've seen 2 specialist, shelled out $2,290.00 out of pocket and absolutely nothing has been done yet. I'm now waiting for my next appointment with a neurologist.

It's taking 7 weeks wait to be able to see the neurologist. Odds are good that's going to turn into lower back surgery.

By the time that all rolls around, we'll have spent about $22,000.00 BEFORE anything at all was done. It's the most rigged, ridiculously overpriced system on earth.

And that still doesn't include all the costs of the actual back surgery which we'll have to pay 20% of.

Were I British or Candian, I would have already had the surgery 5 months ago and be mostly recovered by now with no bills to speak of at all.

The REALLY sad part?

We have one of the better insurance plans available in the United States. I know people paying more than we do for 5,000 and 10,000 dollar deductibles.

So I will now stop bitching about how much we pay in tax for health care. That is insane.

In general I think it is the Canadian perspective. Health care is a right of every citizen and we are willing to pay for that health care in tax. But by doing so I believe the operation of the system is cheaper. We spend less than half of what the USA does per capita on health care.

The free plan does not cover everything but it does cover pretty much everything.

I think gender reassignments and stomach bands etc are no longer covered but they were at some point.

Actually, the first right guaranteed us in the United States Constitution is life.

Yet the rich decided it was better for them to charge money for it from the medical standpoint and we have the death penalty.

This country is so hypocritical it's ridiculous.

@SisGenderShrimp the above three posts should answer your question about the quality of health care in the US compared to Canada.

Oh, that's right, you didn't ask. Well then, you are now given the opportunity to learn something that you were unaware of.

You are welcome.

LFVCKING OL:fire:

guess it's gonna be the pardon..wonder how long it will be? before or after midterms? before 2020?

everyday that manafort keeps his mouth shut and sits in prison it will be on his mind..every..day..until one day it turns into hours and he realizes that he may NOT necessarily get that pardon.

wasn't manafort just the guy who brought in covfefe?

You have a right to run your life.

You have no right to run others lives.

If you are concerned about the high cost of something, it's probably because you haven't made the connection to how regulation creates an artificial impediment to what should occur in a free flowing free market. Now, please continue whining and grasping for salves for the symptoms, rather than addressing root causes.

When you file taxes, how do you file. Head of house or Joint ?
and why do you find it so difficult to answer this question ?

Papadopolous headed to prison for 6 months

Trumps personal lawyer is getting free photos from the fbi right now, cutting a deal on tax fraud and campaign finance fraud that will land him in prison for 3-5 years

Trumps campaign manager about to be found guilty and sentenced to prison

Hillary clinton is probably taking a nice walk in the woods and then gonna go home to a nice meal
