Hi Casperd, please help was looking for some advice on cheap grow lights for a 60x60x140cm grow tent ?
65w is a little low for 4ft.. could probably veg with it but for flower Id want 2 65sI would recommend the HLG 65 quantum board, perfect for a 2x2 and is only $100. I just got their 135 QB and love it.
I'm too new so it wouldn't let me post a link, but check it out on growerslights com
i had a mars2 400w didnt impress me i was just looking at the growmouse puck light for the cob heatsink that has the samsung diodes that are on the solstrips just gonna get 2 of themHi Casperd,
I don't think you'll be happy with cheap LEDs. Lots of disappointing grows confirm that.
Harley's suggestion of a cheap HID is most practical though in a small tent like that, HID might not be an option...though the 175 watt MH might be tempting (to me)
I recently bought a used LED and you might consider that option...,

Sounds good to me...but I'm just learning about leds. Sems that the samsung diodes are what you want.i had a mars2 400w didnt impress me i was just looking at the growmouse puck light for the cob heatsink that has the samsung diodes that are on the solstrips just gonna get 2 of them
Maybe, but the QB watts are ALOT lower than most LEDs, my HLG 65 is at least 1.5-2 times better than the galaxy/mars hydro 300w it replaced65w is a little low for 4ft.. could probably veg with it but for flower Id want 2 65s
regardless.. 65w is not enough for 4ft2.. period. It will veg fine but you can NOT flower properly with under 20w/ft2 of any light out right now.Maybe, but the QB watts are ALOT lower than most LEDs, my HLG 65 is at least 1.5-2 times better than the galaxy/mars hydro 300w it replaced
No arguments w that, but I think he would be better off buying a 4-pack of quantum board 120 and a sufficient driver for 200 ish bucks all togetherregardless.. 65w is not enough for 4ft2.. period. It will veg fine but you can NOT flower properly with under 20w/ft2 of any light out right now.
If you're only using it for a single plant (or a few tiny ones i suppose) in part of the tent it would be fine... If you're trying to properly light the entire tent, it will not be enough
in a 2x2? that's the way other end of the spectrum and probably too muchNo arguments w that, but I think he would be better off buying a 4-pack of quantum board 120 and a sufficient driver for 200 ish bucks all together
Ooops i thought it was 4' x 2', in that case he would be fine with 2in a 2x2? that's the way other end of the spectrum and probably too much
