America Is a Failed State

So no proof then?
The authoritaryan is demanding proof.

You are a fucking right wing propaganda shill. Your arguments against illegal immigrants, your gun rights arguments, your homophobic statements, your fake picture of a seedling as if that proves you are a grower, the obviously false claim that Republicans are same as Democrats and on and on.

There is a valid alternative, which is that you have bought in to all the right wing propaganda but falsely claim to be leftist like @schuylaar and others in the Cult of Bernie.

No it isn't, dipshit. Per capita is a metric used to hide how bad things are. Here's how it works since you're obviously too fucking stupid to figure it out for yourself.

Let's say we have a room with 10 people in it. I walk into a room, shoot 1 person in the head and walk out.

Now then, that's a 10% rate or a "per capita" rating of 1 in 10.

Now lets put 100 people in the room. I walk in and shoot 10 people in the head.

Now then, that's a 10% rate or a "per capita" rating of 1 in 10.

Same fucking number. Same fucking rate.

But guess what, dumbass?

10 fucking people losing their lives is more than 1 person losing his.

All per capita ratings do is use overall population numbers to hide how bad things really are. It's the last desperate metric used by people defending a defenseless position. All you are saying is that all those other lives don't matter because they happened to be hanging out in the wrong room.
i agree with you in spirit, one person losing their lives because someone else is mad at them is not acceptable, no matter how many people live there. however, the united states has 60+ times the population of Norway, you do have to take that into account. not saying it's ok to have 60 times the violent crime, that's obviously ridiculous, but you do have to allow for the fact that there are more than 60 times as many people here than there. not only does it cause statistical differences, it causes societal differences...we have a lot more urban population centers, and they are more densely packed. that causes more friction as more people come into contact with other people daily.
none of it is acceptable, but per capita does make a difference

I'd like to add that as population size goes down this number becomes highly variable. The only thing doughboy's argument proves is that guns can kill a lot of people very quickly.

Let's math with me.

The last year we have actual murder figures for in a U.S. vs. Norway example is 2014.

In Norway in 2014 they had 29 murders. That's it. TWENTY FUCKING NINE.

We (the United States) had 14,249.

The population of Norway is roughly 5.2 million.

The population of the United States is roughly 325 million.

That said, here are some interesting numbers that actually have meaning:

The population of the United States is 6,150% greater than that of Norway.

The number of murders in the United States 2014 was 49,034% higher!

Now in a per capita setting, it works like this:

Norway: 1 in 179,310
United States: 1 in 22,808

Now then, the difference percentage wise in Per Capita rating is only 686%. That is bullshit. Again, it's a metric used to hide how bad things are. It lowers the impact of the statistics to take the heat off of people so they don't have to do anything about it.

There is simply no defense for having 49,034% MORE MURDERS when you only have 6,150% more population.

Easier to overwater small plant in large pot, I'd put a finger in there first to check:hump:
you're not supposed to put a plant that size in a container that big..you're supposed to re-pot..reason is soil is wicking away the small plants water..the roots need to reach out to develop properly and they won't if the soil is dry..does that make sense? you're actually limiting its ability.

it could also use some N..i like mine green.

And I wasn't talking about YOU and YOUR EXAMPLE, You fucking half-witted, knuckle dragging ape.

Please note I quoted SOMEBODY ELSE.
It's called a conversation, moron. Stay on topic. The topic was Mass shootings. That's why per capita was brought up in the first place, you fucking mental midget.

He's saying quite clearly that your statistic by itself is bunk. If you look into the reasons behind that number you'd find that Norway had a couple of horrendously bad mass shootings which, given it's small population inflates that statistic. Also, how mass shootings are reported and counted vary.

All that statistic proves is that guns can kill a large number of people very quickly.

Duh.

I'm not limiting anything, that's not how I do, that's his thing.
I start them in 1gal square pots until they're nearly a ft.
Once they've fully rooted a 1gal I can put them in 5gal or 15 gal wouldn't matter.
