sounds nice, just before i grew that Cyber Chrystal out i had a pack of KC's Haze Special...not one germed, i had grand plans for those cos i did a cross with it in 2003 with a Spice Of Life strain that turned out mega, anyway if you can get those Haze Special to germinate they outcross with nice chunky strains really well, that cross to this day was the best ive ever done, 1 cone total shitfaced for 3 solid hrs...definitely didnt need anymore in that period of timeYeah its a great mold resistant strain. I'm going to do 2 lines 1 pure tnr and the other I will cross bikerkush over it twice
I buy mine from bunningsthe UK Cheese x Blueberry X Mikado is a face melter, pollen chuck was done in 2011, have grown it out regularly since then but its seed count has dwindled to a low number, so earlier this year she was hit with Cannarado Barney Rubble(FPOG x Orange Cookies)pollen & here are the offspring, every bean planted has germinated, i plant more than 1 seed per jiffy to make up for the male to female ratio, so that if its 2 females in 1 i will cull the least desirable, if its 1 male & 1 female then the male is culled leaving the female, the unwanted plant's stems are sawn through just above soil level leaving the roots intact, added mycorrhizal/trichodermal treatments during grow cycle helps to thwart disease with this method

& yes a person has got their money's worth out for those seedling trays(Plantpak brand), they are not able to be purchased in Australia anymore & must be bought from the UK in a bulk order, gotta get around to doing that soon, they are the best that are available anywhere ive found & have excellent drainage, other types hold water too long & promote pythium & other nasties
welcome anytime, your Bruce looked real nice, i bet she will smoke up good, that Pineapple Chunk looks dense as too, what's your fav so far out of this last grow you've done?Subbed up mate some nice crosses in there, I harvested my Bruce banner the other day has some serious fuel stink to it.... pulled it day 61, saw a couple of nanas and decided to chop it, looked in the window tho... here’s the pineapple chunk next on the chopping block View attachment 4186464
im not sure if ive bought them from Bunnings before but everything i can find on ebay has been unsuitable, i use jiffy pots & sometimes the holes in the bottom of the plastic seedling trays block up and cup the water, then Pythium & other rot diseases start, lost a fair few seedlings from that, yet those Plantpak brand trays have a set of holes in the bottom of the tray set out in a way where they never get blocked, very well thought out and madeI buy mine from bunningsView attachment 4186473
The pineapple chunk is very dense... these new leds are really killing it, I had to chop my purple haze early coz of nanas but it still smokes great for being a week and half early... need about 3 to get there, but it was only a small plant and I ended up with 37g dry for 5 small arms that’s fine by me, money maker by strain hunters was great smoke, nice stone but the pineapple chunk is my favourite atm, I got some Texas butter, grape og, Blackwater, bubble bomb and gorilla bomb all 2 weeks from seed so might have a new favourite soon... would love to try those gdp x c99 if u have a spare couple let me know I’m excited to see what comes out of your garden this yearwelcome anytime, your Bruce looked real nice, i bet she will smoke up good, that Pineapple Chunk looks dense as too, what's your fav so far out of this last grow you've done?
Yeah man I only got it as a cut off a friend, he got a good pheno, would love to make some fems out of it have to take some clones off when it gets big enoughis that Pineapple Chunk from Barneys?, she sounds great, nice lineup there with variety, my extended fam here like all the different types so that's why im growing them, be easier if they didn't but i like to see the different strains as it is
sounds the go, i cant do clones here, well early in the season i can(aug-nov), after that they just cook off with the heat, so i dont bother, its all from seed for hereYeah man I only got it as a cut off a friend, he got a good pheno, would love to make some fems out of it have to take some clones off when it gets big enough
I'm in the desert, so it doesn't start to cool down here until mid September if we're lucky. It's not bad now really, mid 90's, but I think the heat combined with the seedlings being so leggy is what did them in.thanks Joe, yes its always exciting growing those first time pollen chucks out, really only counting on appox 1/3rd being ok, could get more lucky though, one never knows? thats a bummer with those MNS dying like that, is it really that hot there now? i thought it maybe cooling down this time of year? anyway you've got some spring cleaning packs so you're good to go again when you need! ive got 12 out of 18 MNS G-13 Skunks germed in 10 days, its still pretty cold here so they can get to a decent height before the real heat rolls in around middle september to early october
they can be delicate little souls for sure sometimes when they want to be, ive read somewhere you can gradual move the plants from indoors to outdoors by a little more each day? never heard of the Kratky method before? worth a shot, im all for the most simple regime that works, i do not know how some people deal with using so many ferts/additives/etc? there is just so much out there, i will be running a couple of Blumats in 14 gal cloth pots with the sensor piercing the side of the pots about 3" from the bottom with the dripper line running up from there to the top with 5 drippers attached around the plant, if it works this season i will extend that method to more next season, the experimentation never ceases really, keeps us of the streets hey!I'm in the desert, so it doesn't start to cool down here until mid September if we're lucky. It's all good though, this run is just for fun...I'm trying out Kratky method hydroponics outdoors, so my expectations were never sky high to begin with. And I've learned a valuable lesson about starting seeds indoors...never done that before, always outdoors.
Kratky is essentially deep water culture with no airpumps/airstones. The principal is that initially the water has sufficient oxygen to support the plants, as they grow larger the roots grow, water level drops and the roots take oxygen from the space between the water and the lid.they can be delicate little souls for sure sometimes when they want to be, ive read somewhere you can gradual move the plants from indoors to outdoors by a little more each day? never heard of the Kratky method before? worth a shot, im all for the most simple regime that works, i do not know how some people deal with using so many ferts/additives/etc? there is just so much out there, i will be running a couple of Blumats in 14 gal cloth pots with the sensor piercing the side of the pots about 3" from the bottom with the dripper line running up from there to the top with 5 drippers attached around the plant, if it works this season i will extend that method to more next season, the experimentation never ceases really, keeps us of the streets hey!
sounds interesting that method, ive gotta check out that Megacrop, there's a good nute company here(Hy-Gen) that recently started selling a single coco grow & single bloom formula, may look into that this season too,Kratky is essentially deep water culture with no airpumps/airstones. I hear ya on the nutrients. I'm using Megacrop, one nutrient to measure and mix. I've used it all season and have been really happy.
I'd love to try out blumats eventually. I hand water my plants in 15 gallon fabric pots every day, would be awesome to cut that out
Yeah would get hot out in the desert yeah here’s another pic bit better lighting If you haven’t seen my thread beforesounds the go, i cant do clones here, well early in the season i can(aug-nov), after that they just cook off with the heat, so i dont bother, its all from seed for here
