Dehumidifier for 8x12 sealed grow room

Finally bit the bullet and bought a 24k btu mini split and am working on sealing my 8x12 room. Looking for a dehumidifier that would handle this space well. I have it narrowed down to Quest, Santa Fe, and Ideal Air for brands but need help selecting a model that will fit my needs. Also what are some reliable environmental controllers that could control my dehumidifier and co2 output? Thank you in advance.

I use the Santa fe compact 2 in my 20x10sqft room that holds my tent. Brought my RH down from 80+ in high RH weather (in the room) down to a steady 50-70% depending on what I have the dial set to.

Leaning towards the quest 105. Seems very efficient and pulls only 4.5 amps. Would this be overkill? My thought is even if it is a bit overkill, it will not have to run as hard or long as something smaller. Thoughts?

Couple hundred bucks can get you one wi tr h a pump a hose and set the dial to whichever RH you want it to. Have the drain plug/hose running somewhere out drain. Then you dont have to worry about it. Typically 70 pints will do 9 gallons of water in a day. Without spending a lot of money on those bigger systems. Your grow room is under a 100sqft. IMHO

Would something like that hold up in a sealed room though? I have no intake/exhaust. Just going to be a 2 ton mini split, dehumidifier and CO2 injection. Plan on growing larger bushes due to plant limitations and having 8.5 foot ceilings. I picture two plants in 30 gallon pots or three plants in twenty gallon pots transpiring quite a bit of moisture during my dark periods.

I have a Quest 105
Very happy with the unit.
Thanks for the input. Mostly everyone I have seen that owns one loves it. It’s a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for which is a large capacity, highly capable, durable, and energy efficient dehumidifier built to do work and last.

So here's my thoughts. The quest is dope. No doubt about it. Problem is 2k$ is alot of scratch for a dehumidifier is all I'm saying. Say it will last you 10 years running constantly. Say you buy a 175$ that last you a year to 2 years give or take. You would be saving money in the long run imo. I'd spend more on lights and A.C./mini split than big expensive dehumidifier. I'm a newbie grower so dont get me wrong. But I work in home energy weatherization and HVAC industry.
It's like having a H/W heater that's running at 78% efficiency and going out spending 3k$ on a system that will get you 85% efficiency the difference in what your saving takes years to make up from the initial investment. Every dollar spent cuts back on cost of smoke or whatever you decide to do with dry flowers.
Again imho.

Let’s compare it to a dryeaz 1200
Buy no means a 200$ unit.
The quest pulls less amps and runs 1/2 as much to stabilize my space,
I’m running 1/2 the power, when added up.
The 200$ unit would be overwhelmed and not be able to bring the RH% down fast enough at lights off, you would be asking for mold.

Thank you in advance.
Hey Iri, Do you mind giving me some more details to replicate this room. I have about the same dimension and is building out sealed room but cant decides on plant count or aisle spacing (17.5 inches thinking). All I know I use 7 gal air pots, ceiling height is 6ft. So very limited. I know I can't do trays, unfortunately. So just trying to get some ideas if u don't mind.

What’s good bro? So my rooms dimensions are 8ft wide and 12 foot long with 8.5 foot ceilings. The door opens close to the middle of the room on the 12 foot side. Looking straight inside the mini split unit is mounted across the room up high near the sealing. To the right I have a 4x8 space sectioned off with two 1000 watt lights running open hood. The dehumidifier will be mounted to the left of the room against the other 8 foot wall and a drainage line will run outside the room into my res in the garage to recycle some of the water being used. CO2 and carbon filter fit in the corner of this wall. This gives me plenty of space to work in the garden and I could even add another light or two if I wanted but it would be pretty packed. We’re putting up drywall today so I will get some pictures here in a few days once she’s ready to roll. Happy to answer anymore questions you have too. Just had an electrician come in yesterday and put in a new sub panel and everything is finally up to code. Huge relief for me.

Ive messed with 5, 10 and 20 gallon smart pots. On this grow I plan on having 3 twenties in the 4x8 space and training them until they create a nice canopy and flip
